    Spunding valve vs airlock

Hi brewers, Been a long day, first ever brew is in the fridge/kegerator. My fermzilla doesn’t fit my fridge with the airlock. Can I use the spunding valve insted? Just pitched yeast and kinda worried, don't want any accident. Temp is solid 20.6 in there. The recipe came with NBS ale yeast...

    Evri.....

I see. Over the years, decade maybe. Amazon. It was so good to get quality items for reasonably good price AND next day delivery. I definitely got very confident and the next day delivery very quick become the normal. But we needed things from elsewhere, eBay this and that. Everything apart...

    Postal strike

Right, this is why I am confused. I am paying for the service that I don't receive and I am supposed to understand them, feel sympathetic and support them. Not really sure that is actually possible. Yes, it would be the "European" way. I never said that I don't support the strikers. I actually...

    Postal strike

This is exactly what I think on a non business, personal level. Then there will be less royal mail customers, less profit for them and unhappy owners, sharehders etc. So speculating royal mail will end and owners start up a new company.

    Postal strike

Yes, I get that but that's also not fair for themself. They missed days then the day they opened there were loads of people queuing up, sort of made their own work more difficult.

    Postal strike

Can some explain how this really works? So they strike because they are not satisfied with their pay or working conditions. I get this. They should get satisfactory conditions, like everyone else. Satisfactory is very subjective. Then their striking actions meant to cause troubles for paying...

    Evri.....

Placed my malt miller order on Wednesday, Thursday morning I got the message they deliver between 5-6pm, the it got delivered 11am. Paid the £6 DHL/DPD fee. If there was only Evri as delivery I would not buy. It has become a principle with me - absolutely no evri. Those guys played their cards...

    Evri.....

Whatever I purchase the first thing I do is check who delivers it. If evri/hermes I refuse to buy. This saved me headaches for 4 years now. Unfortunately Royal mail is causing the headache now.

Oh I hear you. Yes, I've got the biggest part of the system, initially I wanted to leave out the fermzilla and ferment in a bucket, and spend the fermzilla fund on equipment for kegging. But.... The rest is half way sorted, regulator and co2 cylinder. I don't really mind waiting another month...

I agree, practice practice practice. But why do I have to start with bottling to enter the brewing world? Why I can not start with the equipment that I chose to start with? Is it because others didn't start this way?

Exactly my point, I would mind doing a few batches on the stovetop, femrent in buckets and so on. It's all good. I learnt photography on a ****** camera. But I know I would very quickly wanted to change for electric aio brewing so the so called simple and cheaper equipment would be almost a...

I would not have had any problems starting with a pot on my stovetop as I understand theta the basics are needed. But reading, learning months after months many pointed out that learning how to bottle is fine it's a skill, but mean very little when someone wants to keg. Again, there will be...

Thanks for the reply, Yes, the plan is to have two 9 liter batches, would like to have two different beer but two 19l batches would be way too much for my needs. Since these are my needs the smaller batch brewing would make me brew more frequently, which is needed. I did have the conversation...
