    Safe Brewing

i can attest that propping up a near boiling 30ltr vessel on a stool with one hand and fiddling about with the electrics beneath with the other while having forgot to switch it off at the wall is probably not one of the thought processes that can be described in hindsight without a lot of...

Hmm that might have been mine.. didn't I scribble something on the bottle like bretted quad or something? Might not have been. If it was it's a quad base with a bunch of random Bret and some bugs, already about 15 months old, just now starting to come into it's own. I had a bit of a disaster...

    TheHomebrewcompany AITA?

The yeast was totally goosed. Nothing happening after 2 days in a starter. Boo. Although it might have been my fault as I see they sell the stuff at a discount when it's out of date, but don't say that on the item description. On the other hand the hornindal kviek is looking like it might be...

I've ordered like 9 cornys from them all second hand unreconditioned And a bit gammy and in need of a clean, but for under 120 for three delivered to the Highlands who's complaining? Yeah I don't know, I've find them really good mostly, just might think about getting yeast from mainland in...

    TheHomebrewcompany AITA?

Well I am in the Highlands. Thirty percent is **** though. They did fully refund it after my pissy response to their offer, but really I don't think it's reasonable to go with that as an apology. They said they Mark yeast down by that much when it goes over, but even if that was a good deal...

    TheHomebrewcompany AITA?

Ordered some yeast and bits online and it took the best part of a week to arrive, turns out to be a month out of date, spoiling my brewday. I contact them and they offer me a thirty percent refund!. I mean, it's one of the biggest brew companies in the British isles for crust sakes... Am I...

    Help on 4.1% ipa brew

You can do a closed loop without any pressure but it takes a while. I use about 3psi pressure into a keg or ss conical usually without needing to hold anything. Bit of tape?
