    Bottling advice

We stick our Elderflower Champagne into a 5 litre party keg with a tap and a PRV (pressure release valve). Keeps it nice and fizzy and fresh and maybe a bit too handy to grab a glass a bit too often!

    100g of hops, which one

Sabro is a great hop, one of the “hops of the moment” just now. Check out Dogma Sabro smash beer, a superb tasting beer and just a smash with sabro. The hop has lots of flavour profile depending on when you use them in the boil.

    Powell Brewing

Anyone had recent experience of dealing with Powell Brewing? I've sent a few email enquiries and haven't had any replies and they don't seem recently active on social media. Giving them a call was next I suppose! I see a few people have posted that they have some Powell equipment, how would you...

Using a 30 litre burco for a mixture of extract and all grain using a bag but need to upscale. Was considering the 65l HopCat but something bigger and more robust would be better.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

The elderflower champagne getting cracked open today. Tastes great. It’s the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall recipe that gets a slagging from some for being ‘high risk’ but I just de-risk it by conditioning in a keg with a PRV.

    ****Fermentasaurus Mega Giveaway****

Sign me up for the Fermentasaurus Snub Nose Starter Kit! I already have the Fermzilla all rounder so would be good to compare the two and everyone here knows I LOVE a clear fermenting vessel!

MuLAB is also worth a try, that’s what I use. You can try it for free and it’s a tiny program that doesn’t need installed, you can run it from a USB stick but very powerful and most of all, intuitive.

    Air rifles?

Ive had a BSA Ultra PCP For the best part of 6 years. Thousands of pellets through it and never had it serviced nor had a problem with it. I will no doubt need it done at some point but don’t choose reliability as a detractor for PCPs. They are solid. I also have a GMK springer. It’s fine but...

    Man Caves

I don’t brew in it but there’s plenty consumption of homebrew in there! It’s mainly for drinking, chilling and jamming as it’s full of guitars! (And due to Covid, my office)
