Pre curry beer with poppadoms raita and a (non cryptic) crossword. Beer is Pedigree. Only a pale shadow of the old draught and now no longer bottle conditioned but OK all the same and can't grumble at £1.15 from the brewery shop in town!
Dark Rock part grain Malvern Pale Ale. Either it's getting better with age or some bottles are better than others or is it my taste recovering after Covid?
Does anyone have any idea why this has happened and if so whether it will eventually clear? I should add that I used one clear bottle which has cleared about an inch from the top (in four weeks).
Not sure yet how this ranks on a failure scale. It is extract based but I first of all steeped 200gms of dextrin which I then boiled with challenger then added citra hops later. Been bottled a month now and looks like it will never clear. Not sure why. Will it clear in time and in the meantime...
Just made a two hour dash to the lodge in Wales and quaffing an Ossett White Rat. Massive flavour for 4% ABV so must get my son to bring me a few from up north!
I started with an ageing AG bitter of mine but could not decide whether it tasted just a bit off or whether I am suffering from post- Covid taste distortion. This is Oakham Citra about which there is no doubt whatsoever! And I'm not!
