Now a Proper Job not in the proper glass.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

This is Courage Directors. Not diluted yet like some from Marstons and Spitfire and still tasty if not overchilled.

    Now a Branscombe Golden Fiddle.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

At the Harp Albrighton. Two consecutive nights in Black Country Ales pubs which are guaranteed to serve a good pint. This is Downton Quad Hop which now boasts five hops. "Quin Hop" would not sound so good! It's excellent!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I have four pubs within walking distance of home. Two eating pubs and two with unreliable beer. Caught a bus to town and am faced with ten pumps of nectar. This is Salopian Oracle.

Had this earlier. It's Badger Golden Glory. Not that golden nor glorious but OK.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

This is Cwrw Pabo from Anglesey I think. Much better balanced with a touch of peach.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Just left the Dyfi Valley Hotel Glantwymyn Powys. Salopian Tripwire. Grapefriuit. Ok but maybe a bit one dimensional.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Just had one of my Dark Rock part grain Malvern Pale Ales which at four months in the bottle has improved to the point of being quite good now the slight over hopped effect has softened but unfortunately not as good as this Proper Job which I am enjoying with a view of a shower in Wales in the...

Back on well worn turf with a trusty Citra!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Back in Wales and trying a new one. Got it at Sainsburys in a bit of an effort to cut down the units as it's 3.4% ABV yet called an IPA which thesedays seems to mean efforts have been made to give it some taste. Not bad and from the address of the unnamed brewer it is clearly Badger and does...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Am I just a grumpy old bloke or is nothing quite what it was? I know this has only gone down point 5 % but it does not taste as good as it did or is it me?

Back home with a pre curry authentic samosa and this which knocks spots off the last one posted about!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Been disappointed with the local Marstons pubs recently so am in the sole local Greene King pub with a Mango Pale Ale which has not restored any faith in GK. Artificial tasting and thin. Tip to visitors to the West Midlands. Find a Black Country Ales pub!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Back at the Harp Albrighton just over the Shropshire border. Charles Dickens apparently stayed here when visiting Tong Church. This is a Black Country BFG. It has nothing to do with Roald Dahl and monsters but stands for Bradley's Finest Gold.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Almost home from.Wales at The Harp at Albrighton with a Black Country Pig On The Wall. Sometimes it's got to be a roasty malty one!
  19. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

In the Dovey Valley Hotel in Glantwymyn Powys with a Loch Lomond pale. Not bad and a touch floral and the whole experience is a good blend of Celticness!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Came over to Machynlleth this morning and now trying to sip (rather than neck) an Evans and Evans Seascape. Not bad at all.
