With friends on Rutland Water so obligatory to visit the Grainstore at Oakham. I had the Zahara and wife the Cooking. Both excellent and well worth the £6.85.8

At Penn Bowling Club Wolverhampton and to quote an ancient ad "i"m only here for the beer!" This is Burton Bridge Sovereign Gold. Hoppy lemony and dry. Magic.

There's a VR pillar box by the war memorial in Machynlleth but not freshly painted like this wall box.

Last beer of the weekend. The old colonial slang "sherbet" would be appropriate for this!

Had this earlier on. A souvenir of our recent stay in Lancashire. Calling it an IPA is a stretch but nice nevertheless. In normal years I would have said great if chilled in summer!

Not bad at all. Hoppy and a bit on the fizzy side which gives a satisfying thick feel. Also grels above its 5%. Logo takes you back to Inde Coope days.

Back at the accommodation with a German lager. Despite being called the Piggeries this place is seriously posh with an Aga!

Staying in the sticks in Lancs for a family get together. Half way for the Glasgow lot. In the Royal Oak Garstang. Fair play to Robinsons for keeping the fabulous woodwork. Wife's Garstang Gold better than my Unicorn!

Never had this before so got it from Morissons on a multi deal. A bit on the fizzy side but keeps its head. Not that different to St Austell Tribute.

In the Lych Gates in Wolverhsmpton town centre which is the absolute only thing that is better than how things were in the 1960s. This is a Montys Navigation and very crisp and refreshing.

In the pub at Machynlleth with an Evans and Evans Seascape and Hobsons Twisted Spire both in wrong glasses. I wish my tan was as good as my wife's!
