What are you drinking tonight 2024.

The adage of things looking too good to be true is proved by this. Got it in Tesco in Welshpool knocked down to £1.13 from £1.80 despite being in date to December this year and 4.5 % ABV. Tasteless at lager temp but warmed up a bit acceptable but no more.

The only brew of mine mature enough to drink at present The glass exaggerates slightly as it's not bad at all but not "beautiful" though weirdly I did venture away from kits in 1985

Still in Wales but with a good drop of Dudley Ale!

Now a palate cleanser before food.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Back in Wales and after a Monty's IPA a Wye Valley Nightjar which is a nice way to finish off in the pub.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

The Black Country might no longer produce anchor chains for steamers but the beer's good!
  7. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

A palate cleanser before a curry. A clumsy pour but at least none was wasted!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

An Aldi cheapo to start with. Plenty of flavour and 5.2% for £1.35!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Now a 440 cl present from the Lake District at garage temperature. I have just realised that a 500 cl bottle of home brew net of sediment equates to the volume of this can so I am drinking less than I thought!

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I can't claim that this part grain part extract bitter of mine is nectar but it stands up well to many commercial beers so who cares? Cheers it's Friday!

Another one from the Lakes. Nice and refreshing and clean.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Back home and enjoying another one from The Lakes. Excellent yet only 3.8%. Going down nicely with poppadoms before a curry based on excess sauce frozen after the last takeaway which has proved to be excellent value!

Snag is we have got to know the licensee and half the regulars!
  14. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Last night in Wales for a couple of weeks and enjoying a Wye Valley Nightjar.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Not tried the Erdinger yet but totally agree about the BSE as it's one of the few with a taste but would come as a shock to anyone unfamiliar with US hops!
  16. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Now something different from Aldi. Not a bad experience but maybe a bit sweet and to be sipped not quaffed!
  17. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Still in Wales and enjoying a present from the Lake District. Very quaffable slightly floral head clung to the end and a nice soft mouthfeel.
  18. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Back in Wales so here is a Clun Green Man in another beer's glass. Not bad. Followed it with a Wye Valley Nightjar stout which despite being keg is surprisingly good!
  19. micklupulo

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I treated myself to a couple of Jaipurs and this is the first. It is definitely one to be sipped and savoured and especially as unfortunately I must go dry until Friday after tonight
