    Trimming down brew days

Hi guys, This maybe a bit of a ramble as new baby is limiting my sleep at the moment. Currently reviewing my brew schedule as for the next couple of months at least, full allgrain brews are probably not going to happen. For Christmas, i am (hopefully) getting 2 growler style mini kegs (10l)...

    Trub?

Try with and without and see what you think. No idea on the robobrew but if it takes through the trub first, couldnt you just get rid of first couple of litres and then put rest in the fv? Personally I dump the whole boil in, however thate because I no chill at the moment and want the hot...

Would an NFL franchise be successful in the UK?

We get college football on BT sport so started watching it when I had our first baby as its on late at night. Just had our second so seen more over the last couple of days. The stadiums must be really loud on game day as the bands just look massive. When England play cricket, theres one trumpeter

Would an NFL franchise be successful in the UK?

I find sport in America, facinating as it just has such a draw for people. As a comparison, when I played rugby at university, you had about 20 people watching in a muddy field somewhere. I also find it interesting the use of sport as a carrot for education. I also find it sad as I believe...

Would an NFL franchise be successful in the UK?

I love american football and have started following it quite a bit. I think the problem in the UK is that the following is not big enough to support a full time team. Most premier league football (soccer) get lower attendance figures than college football does!

mini kegs (CO2 style) day to day functionality

That makes sense. So not really for carbonating but if you had carbonated beer inside, it makes it easier to open. Guess if you were going to carbonate in the keg, you would use a sounding valve on the disconnect to make sure it doesnt over pressurise

mini kegs (CO2 style) day to day functionality

Another question with these... was reading through duttos useage and wondered how the pressure relief caps work? Is this for of you want to carbonate in the keg?

    Britbox.

I heard an interview with someone yesterday and they said the goal would be for one if their new shows to win an Emmy (like netflix have done). Not sure how it works but i thought it was a joint venture between the bbc, itv etc

    Britbox.

I habe a feeling they will try and get as many people subscribing (probably will end up reducing their own iplayer offers) and then off the back of that look to do new shows. I am not sure I am comfortable with Bbc being involved in new shows that the licence payer cant watch

    Britbox.

I have Netflix and won't be canceling any time soon. I also won't be paying for Britbox as well.

    Reducing trub into fermenter

As a hobby better always has to be balanced with "worth the effort". I had a belgian wheat beer recently where they mash for 4 hours. Was it good? Yes. Would I want to drink lots of it. No. Was it more to style than my version? Yes. Which would I rather drink all the time? Mine. Am i...

    Reducing trub into fermenter

I also eat, breath and have sex but i don't describe my life as science... I have had the same discussion about food. The processes are scientific, but i don't do them because i love science. I do them because I love creating and sharing new dishes and experiences. Other people do it...
