    Ball bags

A 3 year old and a 7 month old and being in our 40s means that it'll probably be more than a couple of weeks before I get lucky... I've been given a sample pot and a first class stamped box to put it in. So I guess techniques have changed or I've got super powers...

    Ball bags

I had a bit of a painful tugging feeling whilst he was doing the lefthand side. The doctor wasn't that bothered about my concerns though...

Thats exactly what it is! But not proper bacon... Its more like smoky bacon crisps. I'm both hungry and disgusted..

    Ball bags

Now then gentlemen. It's one of the hottest sweatiest days of the year and I'm off for the snip... Any other "Decommissioned" men have any tips for me and my swift recovery? I remember my dad saying his swelled up like a coconut and he had crutches. But he may well have used a local farmer...

    Got to love Kviek

I've used it with a few of the Wilko kits. Half a tea spoon of my yeast sludge from the fridge with 1.5 or 2 times the sugar recommended. Pitched at 40c. But I can only keep it to 36c. It's quick and tasty with all the kits I've used so far. Even the stout one.

    AEB Corny Keg

I got my cornies for about 50 each by hunting on ebay. And a regulator for 29. I picked up two old nice pub taps for about 15 quid each. And God knows how much I spent in pipe, connectors, and stuff. Not enough to make a note of. But enough... Once your brew is finished you need to move it...

    Corny Scales

Pi connected to flow meter, temperature probes, bar lighting, relay for the fridge and two small screens that show each kegs details. Python running the fridge based on temperature probes and recording data to the database. Web server with PHP pages pulling from a database of the sensors data...

I started down that road. But swapped to a flow meter on my tube that connects to a Pi

    Dry hopping in keg

I have one of those metal cylinders with mesh sides, too. It's grand.

Serving temperature for kegs at party

Decant it in to 2l pop bottles before you go. Less classy. But works

    Prosecco in a Corny Keg

I've just done a 19L corny full of a Wilko's Italian wine kit. Carbonated it over a couple of days and chilled it down to a low temperature and conditioned it for a week. It's actually quite good and the Mrs doesn't believe it's homebrew. It looks mental coming out of a tap though.

    Home made cooling jacket

Sounds like a good idea. I built an insulated box for my cornies. But I totally dismantled an undercounter fridge and used the cooling elements to line the box. The fridge was from freecycle and dismantling it took a couple of hours and 4 beers. It runs very happily at beer serving temp. But...

What's your fave beer glass shape?

I'd use eBay. Or liberate one from a pub. And then feel guilty about it. But not guilty enough to take it back.
