    Morrisons Rip Off

Was working in Hale Barns, just next to a Booth's store, and, as well as a great selection of local and national bottled and canned beers, they also had a very comprehensive selection of gluten free beers, which my colleague was very thankful for. They also had 330ml bottles of Dead Pony Club...

    An Ankoù brewday:

Hi An Ankou, I recall that you replied to a comment about removing the gas in tube on a corny keg. I'm hoping to use floating dip tubes in my Cornies, but wondering how you deal the gas in post if there's no dip tube/o ring? If it WASN'T your reply, I apologise..!!!

    Heating Tube for Fermenter Fridge

Dimplex, from Toolstation- item no. 17033, £14.98... Depending on the height of your fridge, you may find 2 are required- mine is 6' tall, and there's quite a variation in temp between the top FV and the bottom... Can be 4°C, so I'm going to put another in the bottom, and control them with the...

    Harvesting Co2

Hi all, thought I'd share a quick technique I've just devised to harvest Co2 in a normal, non-pressurised FV. I was keen to do this, as I was aware that when taking samples for gravity checks, I was introducing oxygen through the bubbler, and I'm brewing light, hoppy APA- type beers, which...

    Razorback kit, didn't add dextrose

Hi all, happy 2021!! Having started AG last year, I haven't done any kits recently, but as stocks were getting low, I bought a couple of RB kits. Threw one together on Jan 7th, and it took off like a rocket!! Just looked in the box for the hops, and I found the big bag (650g) of dextrose...

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

It turns out that the parchment I used wasn't, probably just brown paper- it's a wonder I didn't set the house on 🔥...!!!

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

Here's mine, a bit undercooked in the middle, and the paper stuck to the bottom, but it's delicious, proper sourdough taste!!!

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

We baking today? If so, I may delay feeding until later- then it's at full fizz!!! Great thread, BTW, thanks!!

    Bake your first sourdough 🤤

So, when I feed the mother, it bubbles up after a couple of hours, then by the next feed time, it's reduced back to just above where it was- is this ok, or should it stay "fizzy"?
