    Ace micro brewer

Sadly 2 batches before mine went south. They have sold hundreds so this is a very small percentage. The gentleman and I just happen to post in the forums :grin::grin::grin: and I happen to make videos about these things :D No in all seriousness, I feel this was just a fluke...

a ace microbrewery for wine making

Thanks for participating in progressing the hobby, let us know how it turns out! I'd be interesting to see what boiling those vegetables will do to extract sugars for fermenting and or/ induce maillard reactions?

    Mash keeps compacting with Grainfather

^^^ this. Slow mash recirculation will keep grain bed from compacting.

    Ace micro brewer

Sadly, the unit failed me too. I 'navigated' their warranty process and it was pretty easy. They didn't even hesitate after I showed them a video where I tested the element. Shot off an email explaining the whole thing and I had a box at my door in TWO days! Now to be fair, I did drill holes in...

    Blichmann Thrumometer

I have one if you want to buy it! West Norwood, London. Brand new, never used. I took it out of the box a couple of times but it has never had any liquid through it.

    Ethyl acetate or fusels?

I used to see this all the time in my brews and would only be better with low ABV ones. I found that fermentation temperature was the primary cause of this. I have corrected this with controlled fermentation temperatures and stepping up temperature towards the end of the fermentation. From what...

Citric acid can impact flavors if used in excess. I actually meant to use Lactic acid ;) grabbed the wrong one- so good eye. I would recomment using Lactic acid for pH adjustment if you had the choice between the two. I realized this a little ways in but didn't matter too much.

    ACE Microbrewery

Got it from https://homebrewshop.be/en/ Shipping was quick and install was easy. I found out recently that you dont need the gaskets it comes with to install onto the Ace Microbrewery (aka Klarstein) - someone was telling me the Klarstein might be slightly different? Can someone double...

    Rehydrating Yeast

I know it's been only since yesterday, hows the air lock now? Check for air leaks in the lid (has happened to me before) Re hydrating yeast is ideal before pitching as it allows a less stressful environment to 'wake up' before going to work (though not necessary). So you were not wrong there...

3 Tier System - Pump Question.

1/2 BSP Cam locks(if your solar pumps are 1/2 BSP thread that is) are a good sanitary choice over a tri-clamp (expensive). I would run male fittings on the pump and female fittings on the hoses. If you do all gravity, you can do a 3-tier style(HLT->Mash->Kettle) utilizing pump for only...

    Longest.brew.day.ever. The struggle is real.

Get an ace microbrewery or equivalent Klarstein :) of course having a stuck sparge is still a real thing especially when your adjuncts approach 40% or more. Hope your beer turned out okay! Boy that reminded me of my first brew ever- nightmare flashbacks lol

Fermentation Control Malfunction - Am I Screwed?

Report what the outcome was..? Would be curious. I would have racked the wort to another fv, cooled, and repitched.

Lid off always or have vent system to drive volitiles off when boiling

Notes on first AG brew with all-in-one system - any advice?

That's awesome man. When I did my first brew I didn't hit my numbers because I thought my strike water was too high. Sounds like you didn't have a problem managing temperature. What wattage setting did you set it at for mashing? A starter is always a better way to go especially when you're...

    ACE Microbrewery

I used pellet when I brew and only issues I had was slow drainage at the end. Just make sure you whirlpool and you'll be okay. Granted, it was only 2 oz of hops this time around. I'll report back if I end up doing more :)
