    Changes to the highway code.

Controversial or flippant to up decide... but... Apart from motorways and dual carriageways and modern bypasses.... Our roads were just not designed with cars and hgvs in mind. Maybe bikes scooters and motorbikes are better adapted to a road infrastructure designed in many cases hundreds if not...

Does anyone do cask at home?

You'd need a tap and pour straight cask... You don't need a self tilting rack, just some chocks of wood for when it depletes... It's a lot of beer though and unless you can purge with co2 it'll you'll be drunk for 2 weeks trying to get through it!

    Changes to the highway code.

I think part of the difficulty is that we have developed a culture that sees roads being a priority right of way for cars and anything else on the road has less of a priority.. like someone walking or on a bike isn't also trying to get somewhere quickly and the fact that they are moving slower...

    Changes to the highway code.

I think it's fair to say that as much as you get some dodgy hgv drivers the majority are considered. The same goes for car drivers and cyclists. I cycle for pleasure and commuting and I get just as frustrated by other cyclists flouting the rules.. jumping lights, filtering up the inside etc...

Ideas on upgrading on the cheap...

Thanks.. you are a knowledgeable bunch! I am going to keep my eyes open for a burco local to me I think. Seems the soundest and safest way to get a bigger batch. I have seen hacks with kettle elements and buckets but it seems you can get a boiler second hand for the same cost with the added...

Ideas on upgrading on the cheap...

Thanks all... Had a look at the burco boiler and that looks like a good was forward. I also came across the instructable for making a brewery for less than £100 and the mash tun looks really interesting!

Ideas on upgrading on the cheap...

Story of my life...doing it on the cheap! I was kit brewing for about a year, stepped up to biab all grain in a 20 litre stock pot on the cooker, mashing by wrapping said pot in blankets, cooling post boil in the sink and pouring into the plastic fv which sits in the kitchen. I bottle using...

Advice Please - Equipment for my first AG

I was where you are a year ago. I didn't have a lot of money either.. so my other half bought me a 21 litre stock pot for my birthday (imagine if I had bought her one!!!) . I have done upwards of 15 brews in it. I also have a 7 litre pot I hear sparge water in. With this little set up I can get...

no boil no chill 1 week wheat beer

6 days in the fv and 6 in the bottle... Couldn't resist. Really pleased. Its not strong, no idea on the abv, but it's a nice drink, keeps the head and only my second ag... But the first I have been able to drink, the neipa is still conditioning.. A few things I will do differently next time but...

no boil no chill 1 week wheat beer

It does make sense, thank you. Out of interest.. I ended up with about 9 litres in the fermenter, capacity is about 12 so there's a good bit of head room. I used the fermentis wheat beer yeast and there was visible activity, not. Massive activity, after about 12 hours for 2 days and it has...
