Brewferm abbey 18l Total 476.4 +18 = 494.4

Not normally a wine brewer but have been given a bottle of red from a kit a friend made, simple question. It's been in the bottle about 4 days, drink it or does it need to condition like beer?

First brew of the year, double cans of brewferm abbey, with a can of golden syrup and 300 grams of sugar. Hopefully once brewed and bottle will be able to keep my mits of till Christmas:beer6:

Haven't a few of my first extract attempt pale ales, brewed using my own hops. Taste like an ice cream sodas, there is a very distinct lack of bitterness, but then I had no idea the AA of the hops. Still tasty though, crystal clear and a head that last the whole glass. Next time I will use...

worst kit was a Finlandia Traditional ale. at first thought it might be OK, but was pretty rank in reality still have some left and will use it for slug traps come the spring

Yup, I even did three different ones from the kit, one with Saaz one with willametta and one standard. All meh

Just picket up a few bottles of brewdog santas paws, on sale at morrisons. 60p each, and given there is no late addition hops should be ok still also a 660ml of slot machine. hopefully will enjoy it as much as Clint did.

Yup, very simple to do and can also keep your brew cold in summer.........if it get hot

No idea mate, but my yeast was not the sweetened one and was fine. As for the pectolase, not sure what it does really but think it help bring out the flavours and improves clarity. Simple solution. Just try, worst case you can make more later

using roddy's method, 15l apple juice, 2 1/4 bottles of syrup, strawberry juice from 3-4 limes 4tsp pectolase strong black tea 500ml with 5 tea back stewed for a while. whack it all in the fv, top up to 23l with water. cider yeast with sweetener( think ebay is the best place to get it) then...

Steve, Sounds like your getting the same box as me, have you found the beers to be ok? Sometimes i think they may be a bit old, either that or I am looking for to much hop flavour. I really like getting new beers though every month. I was pleasantly surprised by that one actually. Not very...
