    Six Nations

Very tough game today, we haven't won in Dublin for 10 years. It will be a close game, lets just hope Farrell continues his excellent kicking record, it could come down to discipline. Then again, Twelvetrees has retained his place leaving Tuilagi on the bench, can you imagine the look on the...

Whilst in Australia we visited the Sydney Tower Reseraunt, on the menu was Kangaroo, Camel and Emu. Delicious!

RickBuck Brewery - Woodfordes Wherry (again)

For ease, pop the FV in a water bath with the heater in that. Then you don't have to modify your FV and the beer gets a good all round heater. You can pick up the builders style rubber mixing buckets from Tesco and Asda for a few quid.

    Woodfordes, Sundew Review

This has been in the FV for a week now and has finished fermenting at 1.014. I did brew short to 20l due to other reviews saying it was watery. Taste test does confirm it lacks a lot of body, however, I imagine after 8 weeks in the bottle it will be a very nice session ale.

    How soon is too soon?

I've done half a dozen kits or so, got another three in stock too, but I have just ordered my mash tun and boiler. Only been brewing on my own since December (did it with my Step Dad before), I'm really looking forward to AG brewing!

    wilkinsons own homebrew beer kits

Sat drinking a pint of Wilko Newkie Brown which I bottled about 4 weeks back. Brewed it short to 20l and added a kilo if beer kit enhancer. It is a very drinkable pint, I think I under primed though, I used one carbonation drop per 500ml bottle and there isn't enough fizz in it for my taste, may...

    Six Nations

I was screaming at the telebox last night where we knocked on in the last minutes! Looking forward to the game today! I think England can do well with the new lads coming through.

    Many younger brewers?

Thanks guys! Currently tucking into a bottle of Adnams Ghostly Pale Ale waiting for my curry to get delivered. Granted the 7 week old daughter is demanding my attention so no clubbing for me tonight!

    Many younger brewers?

If we were heading to a park or street corner, 8 cans of worthingtons would be the tipple of choice, washed down with sidekick  20/20  or frosty jacks  By the way, I need to change my age. 25 today! going to buy myself a boiler as a present and go AG.

    Many younger brewers?

Youngest so far at 24 :D I've been drinking real ale since I was 14 and my step dad used to bring bottles home from work, loved it. Now I love making it!

They look beautiful! I personally love marinating chicken in hot Peri Peri sauce, blows your socks off. Can't wait for summer, get the BBQ back out and get the homebrew on tap!

    German homebrewing regulations

But surely it's too difficult to police anyway, especially with Kit brewing as their is no boil to give the game away... Pasty tax got scrapped after uproar, so I doubt the Government would be able to pass through this type of tax. Regardless how much they would want to.

    German homebrewing regulations

Is this the same for Kits? Or just for AG? Not surprising really though, a Government doing everything they can to get blood from a stone, I'm surprised our own Government haven't caught on yet, especially as its a growing industry.

50w Aquarium Fish Tank Heater Submersible ...

Buy a rubber mixing bucket from Tesco, they are about £3 put a few inches of water in it then put the FV in that, you can then put the heater in the bath. Reduces infection risks and saves sanitising something else.

Now look what I have gone and done...

Dronfield, eh? If you do bottle any let me know, I'd be happy to taste test. :thumb:

    Return to the brew

Not a frequent visitor to be honest, more of a spur of the moment visitor. Each time I've gone in its been a pleasure though!

    Return to the brew

Ship Inn or Wellington? Ship Inn is a very good little pub, not frequented by many which adds to its charm. Drinking around Kelham Island is one of the best sessions you could have. I personally love the Harlequin.
