What are you listening to tonight.

Great album and great song. My particular favourite on this album is Land Ho!

    Alastair70s brewdays

Sounds like great advice. I have an engineering background myself, so as you know, there is a tendancy to drill a a few centimetres deeper than the specification requires just to be sure! I really appreciate your input and that of @Alastair70, so I'll report back when I get my first brew underway.

    Alastair70s brewdays

Fantastic stuff! I have read Strange Steve's guide which is brilliant. Thanks for the offer of the RO. I'm about a month away from brewing as I'm in the process of building and installing some cabinetry in my brewing space, before I start. No doubt I'll be in touch! Many thanks.

    Alastair70s brewdays

Firstly, excellent sound track. I saw The Cure back in '79 for £3.00 when they toured with Siouxsie and the Banshees. File under "IBI", interesting but irrelevant. Secondly, I noticed that you are just up the road from me so the water chemistry is of interest. Assuming you are using tap...

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Indeed. athumb.. We have stayed in a camp site in Portsalon overlooking Ballymastocker Bay. Breathtaking. I keep meaning to get to the Jazz and Blues Festival at Dunfanaghy but haven't made it yet. Perhaps this year.

Most often to a nice camp site in Creeslough but we have ventured to Ballyshannon and Donegal Town.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Nice. I often enjoy a pint of Kinnegar on our wee trips to Donegal in the motorhome.

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Still drinking other peoples beers until I get my brewing space finished. So this afternoon I'm enjoying another one made within 30 miles of my house. And an excellent beer it is too...

    Black sheep go into administration

Very disappointing news although I read yesterday that they were in talks with six or seven potential bidders and are optimistic that the business can be saved. Lets hope so.

    Out of the shadows...

Thank you. We bought the house just over 3 years ago so during lockdown I had time to ponder how to make this dead space useful. Quite a bit of thought has gone into it and I'm well chuffed with the result.

Surprisingly not, they must have had tall Shetlands or a tall stable hand :D Here are a few pics of the stages I went through. Just the cabinetry to install now.

    Out of the shadows...

Hello all. I have been lurking on this forum since late 2019. Sorry about that, I have no reasonable defense to offer. That said, I've been dabbling with home brewing and winemaking on and off for 40 years with mixed results. Now as I creep cautiously towards retirement I've decided to give...
