    Freeview/Freesat?

I'm more concerned about the LNB than the cables. We've had an aerial cable in use for over 40 years (was on the house when we moved in) and only changed it a couple of years ago because the plastic outer had started deteriorating and water was getting inside. The satellite cables are less than...

    Freeview/Freesat?

I'm now wondering about our LNB. The cables running from the dish into the living room have been disconnected from the Sky+ box for best part of 2 years now. If there are any installers on the forum that see this, or simply someone who knows, what is the likelihood that the LNB will still be in...

So it probably won't be the lnb from the Sky q system then. I know the Arris box is compatible with both types so I'm now wondering if the old sky+ lnb gives less/no problems? I take it the maximum number of simultaneous recordings you can do on it is 2? Cheers Tom

Is the dish/lnb from a sky+ hd setup or earlier than that? Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

One thing I can't get my head around is why some users (yourself included) seem to have a relatively trouble free time with the Freesat box and others have a nightmare.... I can understand if it was Freeview as there can be issues with different transmitters but it really shouldn't make any...

Nothing at all, it's a cracking box 😁 The new box is a replacement for an old Vestel box that's still working. We use both boxes regularly Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

Anyone have the Humax Aura? It's not had an update since June 2021 so that's either a sign that it's the perfect machine or Humax have given up on it. The Arris Freesat last had an update in March 2023 so looks to be better supported. There are still reports of random rebooting, missed...

    Freeview/Freesat?

Ah, so it seems things have improved since I last looked at that. I timer is no use to us unfortunately. We do sometimes need to record 4 things at once so both our boxes are in constant use Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

Well that's one "issue" to cross off the list 👍 Regarding HD/HDR, from what I understand of it, HD is about resolution and HDR is about colour enhancement or something? Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

The last TV that we saw capable of recording needed to be powered up and on the channel you wanted to record. Only one recording at a time too. Defeats the whole object as far as I'm concerned. Unless they've changed things? Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

Isn't there an issue with the Freesat forcing HDR output even on non a HDR feed causing a dodgy picture? I've read so much stuff over the last few days I've forgotten which "faults" are linked to which machine Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

No need for the model number as it was discontinued a while ago and from other comments I've read they were snapped up due to people having issues with the new Arris box 😞 Thanks anyway Cheers Tom

Samsung? I know it's an android box but what's the Samsung link? Cheers Tom

    Freeview/Freesat?

We've got a T3-R already. The purchase is to replace an aged Logik (Vestel T7650) box, although it's still working well. I've had confirmation from Mr Manhattan that the T4-R remote can be set up so there's no clash with the T3. Is your Freesat the new one or the better behaved Humax? If they...

    Freeview/Freesat?

That's the Freesat beast I'm looking at. I'd go for the 1tb version if that was our plan. I read something about ch4 hd being missing also random sound dropouts although that may be referring to an older version of firmware? So what niggles are there in day to day use that you're happy to put up...

    Freeview/Freesat?

Hi all I'm currently waiting on the release of the new Manhattan T4-R Freeview PVR with a view to purchasing but it's been delayed and delayed and further delayed. Hopefully it will still turn up but as a back up plan...... Do any members own or have owned either of the Humax Aura Freeview or...

I think this might be the original image of the scooter. Looks like the Photoshop one has been reversed and has a few tweaks Cheers Tom

Is it just my imagination or has the bike got two rear wheels? Either that or someone on another bike is hiding right behind him Cheers Tom

It must be Yorkshire, it's the law. Mind you, years ago we used to get Ringtons. They were as good 👍 We've tried looking for a cheaper substitute but couldn't find it Cheers Tom
