Sort of Stuck Mash and Burnt Brewmonk!

Lemon juice always worked for me with the burnt on stuff but can't help with the stuck mash, sorry. Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

I can't really comment on that as the ones I have are my first order. I wonder if anyone else on this thread has a lot of two that they could compare the product codes? Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

Sounds the same as my kits. I read an old review of the Citra a while ago and they said that hop boost was included with the kit. I emailed Dark Rock to query it with them and they said they'd stopped including it.... Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

Just a thought but did you get any of that hop boost stuff included with the kits? Non of the ones I've bought have it but another member on here (@dowden87) did the West Coast and he's really impressed with it, hop boost was included with his kit. Just a thought...... Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

Not everyone's taste buds are the same. A lot of people love the MJ juicy session IPA but I thought it was overkill with the fruit flavour. You may like it 👍 Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

All 4 kits have the same codes on the other end of the cans 58652 04/26 Obviously the 04/26 bit is the best by date. Would be interesting to know what all the others are. Ah, should have refreshed the page..... Cheers Tom

I think I need to give that a go 😁 Cheers Tom

    Red berry tea bag wine.

That looks a nice red colour. Is it just the lighting or is it really that deep a red? Cheers Tom

    Dark Rock kits

I hope yours turns out well as I bought one the other week along with a Citra, Hoppy Days and a Nectaron. I'll be getting the Nectaron on brew after next, I hope it lives up to the hype 😁 Cheers Tom

Youngs Merlot kit - 6 bottle

As it's finished fermenting, you've degassed it, fined it and it's cleared. There's no real reason with a cheap kit not to get it bottled. Some of the expensive kits might benefit from bulk maturation in a demijohn but I can't see any benefits with the Young's kit Cheers Tom

Has the classic Best Bitter lost its flavour?

There have been 3 pints in semi recent memory that stick out as a "that really was a cracking pint". In no particular order, Courage Directors in a Wetherspoons in Wigan, although that was some years ago. Abbot ale in the Pump House in Liverpool, Black Sheep Bitter in Ye Olde Fleece Inn in...

    Superior Seven wine kits

Don't get me wrong. The superior 7 were ok once my taste buds had adjusted to the more acidic flavour. I did enjoy all of them and if I received one as a gift I'd gladly consume it. They may be more to your taste than mine? Cheers Tom

    Superior Seven wine kits

When I first started making wine kits I started with the Cellar 7 range. From memory they were all ok, didn't have a bad one. I then tried the Punch kits from Creative Winemaking and I thought they were actually a bit better than the Cellar 7. The Beaverdale and California Connoisseur kits did...

    Superior Seven wine kits

I'm just over half way through my last Superior 7 kit. It's the Shiraz, it's not too bad. I'd say it's the best of the 3 that I bought (Malbec and South African red were the other two). To me they're all a bit acidic but the Shiraz isn't as bad. Cheers Tom
