    Pinter for all grain…

No you don't need to. I measured the size of the thread which I think is 8mm drilled it a mm under or maybe the same and then heated the thread on the post and used the heat to melt in the thread. They are only soft plastic aimed at being disposed so it went in by hand then the oring seals

    Pinter for all grain…

When i did it actually worked out OK for me but I could cold crash with it upright which might have helped. Hop socking might not be a bad idea though. I was particularly impressed with how well the beer clears in just the pinter.

    Pinter for all grain…

Just bringing this back to the top. I got the yeastie boys kit mainly for the hop oil thingy. Once used i drilled the end, heated a gas post and screwed in. I can now spund and punt in hop tea if needed I think alot of the leak issues are from over pressure. Mine was over 20 psi and that was...

    Brewzilla Gen 4 Distillation head.

2nd time using this, made some mods instead of the tiny whole and hose the at the bottom. Ive gone 2 inch tc to 1.5 and then the 90 degree bend. Just doing a 90 min boil so far it's rolling on 840w and I've used 12l of water. Much less power and water needed when either open or with the...

    Which spunding valve?

Found the top one in the image to be really hard work to adjust. Have since gone to the awful contraption which has performed faultlessly even after it has had beer through it. Just ordered the blowtie version with the big gauge as it was £8 on ali inc postage. I also have 5 inline co2 secondary...

Fridge that fits two 19l cornys

Hi all My kegerator compressor has died, so that is the end of that. Annoying to say the least. I have a spare fridge that holds two kegs but it is from the 70s. I need to house 4 kegs. Any know of any fridges that will house two kegs? Thank.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

First attempt at an American / Mexican Lager for the summer and I'm pretty happy with that. The grain bill was just Muntons lager and Torrified Maize. Used my harvested yeast. A mix of 34/70 and WHC einstein with an extra light DME starter. Fermented under 15psi from the word go at 12 oc ...

    Finings in a closed fermenter

Think so. Have had better results with the two step version than gelatine not sure how all 3 would mix

    Finings in a closed fermenter

Yep that works. I guess if you wanted to fine whilst in the fermenter then removing the airlock and injecting in would work and make leave a greater amount in fermenter.

    Finings in a closed fermenter

What are you fermenting in. For my fermzilla all rounders I used a pop bottle half filled with mixture, purged with co2 amd then pressure shot in to fermenter just before cold crash. On the stainless I drop the mixture through the bung hole at the top and replace. On both I give them a good...
