    Noob questions on first kit

Only been brewing a few months, started with kits and PET bottles and have been more than happy with the results so far and still using them, have now moved on to my first extract brew which is due to be bottled in the next day or so. Have also got PB's now...I am starting at the bottom and...

Bulldog Bad cat Imperial red ale

Started this last week, I have read in other threads that it goes off like a rocket usually, however I am finding that fermentation is a little slow, it is bubbling very slowly and a good head of foam appeared this seems to have dropped back. I have a temp of 22 degrees. This is after less than...

Forgive the daft question but is that adaptor to convert the pin valve or the pin-less valve

    The story so far...

Took a step up and made an extract brew which is due to be bottled this weekend. I kinda followed the GH recipe for a 60 minute IPA using chinook, Amarillo and cascade hops as per recipe but instead of adding hops every 5 minutes as suggested I went for a single addition with 15 minutes left of...

    CO2 Just checking

Hi so I have two pressure barrels, one is youngs 5 gallon. It has a valve with no pin so I assume it takes the S30 cylinder, the other is a 5 gallon King Keg with a pin valve so assume this takes the 8g bulb cartridges....am I correct, just want to make sure.

    First Brew advice

I brewed this, I just used 1kg dextrose. I then barrelled it once fermenting was complete, I made a syrup using 3.5g of sugar per litre. Have to say its fantastic, comes out of the barrel like Guinness with a thick creamy head and just the right amount of fizz.

Thanks for that. What I would really like to try is find an old English type ale that's hoppy. I love hops!

    The story so far...

So... I took the plunge a month or two back, having bought some basic equipment, fermenters etc. I decidedto start with a few kits to cut my teeth on so to speak. MYO American IPA, MYO Bitter, Ritchies Brown ale were the first ones, these have allbeen made, bottled and conditioned and I have to...

    A couple of MYO brews

Just tested again, both sitting at 1.010, IPA not looking as soupy, hops obviously sinking...bitter pretty much the same as yesterday.

    A couple of MYO brews

I thought the instructions seemed a bit much not that I am an expert ( not even a novice yet haha) , don't like it overly fizzy either so will go for less.
