    Hi so I brewed a saison based on GH recipe on 28/6 I used Mangrove Jacks M29...OG 1.056. According to the recipe he recommends upping the temp on the 4th day to 28 degrees. I pitched at around 24 degrees then on the second day upped the temp to 26 with a plan to up it again after a couple of...

    So did another brew yesterday...had a problem with recirculating during mashing....ie I couldn't...think it was a clogged bazooka from the grain crush ( even had rice hulls in, and it wasn't a massive grain bill either) there was a lot more crud by the time everything was done....do people...

    Yes it is but I need to tweak it a bit. Could do with it being a bit thicker so the basket is more secure when resting on it.

    Cheers hazelwood….still new to this brewing game....only my second brew on the Bulldog....is that calculation standard for working out the strength as I used the GH book for working out ABV

    Gone...haha. It was really nice...made a few brews now and finding it really good. Only thing I don't like is the ring that the grain basket sits on when lautering and sparging....mine is not attached so care is needed when lifting the basket, also i find that the rests on the side of the basket...

    I want the yeast to shine (this is my first attempt at a saison so any tips appreciated) but I would like a hint of citrus/orange without it being overpowering. if that makes sense...That said any suggestions would be welcome.
