    Kegerator Approved!

With regard to the JG connectors, I hadn't really twigged that the beer and gas lines would permanently be connected to the grey/black disconnects and swapping out a keg wouldn't require removing the line from the disconnect. So I guess I will go for disconnects with barbs rather than the ones I...

    Kegerator Approved!

I'm not sure either, I thought I would need two per line (beer and gas) per keg? Someone please let me know if that isn't the case. I did see a 1 to 3 manifold that was about £30 but I thought I would spend the £8 more to get a 1 to 4 just in case. A 1-3 JG connector might be better at...

    Kegerator Approved!

So I've made a list of the parts I think I'll need. Done a fair bit of reading on the subject but I am by no means an expert on how it will all fit together, so I'm sure I will have missed something. Here is what I am thinking for an initial 3 tap setup. Apologies for the image of text (it is...

    Kegerator Approved!

I am looking at the same taps you've mentioned in another thread, would be good to see them in-situ while you have the camera out!

    Kegerator Approved!

    Thanks, that's what I thought.

    Kegerator Approved!

When you say that you can't fit two inline from front to back, is that because of the compressor hump?

    Kegerator Approved!

Should be fine on the space behind the taps, I won't mount them at the same height as the kegs. Anyone got any thoughts about the curved door questions?

    Kegerator Approved!

Ideally I would like 4 kegs and Co2 all on one level, although I suspect it might only be possible to get 3 in? If it only fits 3 I guess I would have the option to move the gas outside the fridge at a later date to fit a 4th. The one I am looking at is 60x66 (WxD) externally, but not sure...

    Kegerator Approved!

Yesterday I got go ahead by SWMBO to to build a kegerator, something that I didn't think I would be able to do in our current house due to lack of space. She's a good egg putting up with my new homebrew obsession. We were already planning on getting a under counter sized 'drinks fridge' and I...

    DIY Sparge Arm

Finished this yesterday after being on holiday for 10 days. Just in case anyone comes across this wanting to do the same, here is what I did. I went with one of these to go through the side of the cooler near the top. I drilled the hole using two different sized hole saws, as the outer part...

    Biermuncher's Centennial Blonde

Sorry for the late reply, I have just got back from 10 days away. I bottled on the 25th and after 10 days at room temperature to carbonate, left outside while on holiday. Put a few in the fridge when I got back and will try one on Friday. Will report back then! Packaged in brown bottles so no...

    Brewer's Friend Feedback

It would be good if cost was calculated for recipes. I use the shopping list feature to add items to my inventory, the first time I saw there was the option to add prices against items I assumed it would then use that to calculate the cost of a brew, but it doesn't seem to do anything with...

    Temperature Sensor Bulkhead

And as soon as I clicked post I realise I am in the wrong forum! Can someone move it to equipment for me please?

    Temperature Sensor Bulkhead

I am thinking about building a HERMs system and I am struggling with how to install the temperate sensor. It is a 6mm PT100 probe that is waterproof but it doesn't have any type of screw fitting attached, is there a way to make it water tight or should I just buy one that does screw in...

    DIY Sparge Arm

I am leaning towards installing an inlet through the side of the cooler near the top and then running the wort/sparge water down the side . That way it can be independent of the lid. Just wondering if this is likely to cause any channelling?

    DIY Sparge Arm

At the moment I am using a peice of foil with holes and jugging wort and sparge water ontop. I would like to upgrade and I have been struggling to come up with a good design for a sparge arm. The main problem is that I want it to do it all. I just built a PID controller do I am thinking the...

Is the 1.008 figure temperature corrected?

    Newbie wanting to build Kegerator

Looking good. I am thinking about doing the same, can I ask how much the tap tower was and where you got it from? Also, is there room for a second corny in there? It's hard to tell from the picture.

    PID Enclosure

Can recommend this one. Came quickly and out of the box reads within half a degree of another digital and analogue thermometer I have. Obviously only just got it though, so can't speak for long term reliability.

    Biermuncher's Centennial Blonde

My recipe said 1.009 which is actually exactly where I am, forgot my hydrometer is .001 off. Upped the temp from 19 to 21 earlier and will check again on Saturday. Maybe bottle early next week.
