Another Kiwi Pale (and maybe a Pils)!

Brewed a Kiwi Pils with the Motueka, this one. Decided to go with my tried and tested grain bill, maybe a bit heavy on the hops but the motueka was getting a little long in the tooth so we'll see.

    no1 this Christmas

That would be an accurate figure of the impact, however what we're all raving about is the idea that we will be finding granny frozen like an ice cube in front of the snooker.

    no1 this Christmas

Interesting to see say in April if there has been a difference in mortality rate. My guess would be that it will be negligible.

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

I had this one on Thursday, think my tastes have changed, found it a bit sweet. Though it did the trick and I slept very well afterwards!

Are we back to the days when beer was drunk because the water wasn't safe?

Another gift from the sunlit uplands of Brexit?

Paddock fence has lost a few slats, though pleasingly not from the part I replaced in the summer! Went down to Porthtowan today to have a look at the sea, bit rough!

    Electric chainsaws...

I've wanted to go battery for awhile but I tend to pile up a fairly large amount of wood to cut in one go, was looking only yesterday on Amazon at a Stihl battery chainsaw and someone posted a pic of what they'd cut. It was a pretty small amount and the poster said they'd got through 5 batteries!

Had lunch, that killed some time. The eldest has just turned 10 and wants to update her room. Oh, and I spent I don't know how long trying to find a cheese slicer to no avail.

Half way through the mash on a Cold IPA, inspired by the need to get through a few NZ hops that I found in the freezer and @An Ankoù suggestion that this is what I brew. Soooooooo Not as much Pilsner malt as I would have liked but... 1.5 kg Pilsner 4kg Pale Ale Mash for an hour @64c...

Gregg Wallace hits out at 'handful' of accusers

It's all about context isn't it? I joke around with my female colleagues and vice versa saying things that we probably shouldn't, however it stays within the group. I wouldn't say that sort of stuff to someone who wasn't 'in on it'.
