Have you retested the FG? Either degas a sample by stirring vigorously or just let it sit overnight & then measure. I had this issue with an Earl Grey Pale Ale that massively overcarbonated but also tasted as I expected it too. On retesting FG, I found it had dropped 3 points since bottling...

That's good. Gives me a backup plan at least! I'm the same as you, no expectation of medals, I just want some unbiased feedback & some confirmation that my process is half decent. I suspect saison will be a pretty busy category as well as it's definitely a fashionable style at the moment...
