    What did you brew today?

What temperature did you go for? I've got mine at 20C at the moment as I want some esters.

    What did you brew today?

Version 3 of my house bitter today. Unfortunately didn't have time to get a starter going of Wyeast 1469 earlier in the week so have used MJ Liberty Bell instead. Never used it before, any thoughts? Also managed to bottle 15 litres of cider & 23 of stout. Ended up cleaning after the brew in the...

    Secret Santa Beer Swap 2018!

Received mine earlier in the week. Got a Saison, one of my favourite styles, so really looking forward to that. Will post my bottle tomorrow.

    Beer Advent

Had a couple of days off after a fairly hefty knock to the head at football on Sunday. It all works out though as I only have 19 beers in my homemade advent calendar. Tonight is Mikkeller's SpontanDoubleRaspberry, a 7.7% fruit sour. Wowsers, this one is melted down raspberry Tangfastics...

    Beer Advent

I decided to put my own together this year giving me an excuse to splash out on some beers I wouldn't ordinarily pay top dollar for. Having put them into a random name generator, today's beer was Mobberley Brewhouse's Roll With It. A NEIPA but with English hops it was really interesting. Huge...

    November Competition - Freestyle

I'll check a bottle of my Saison for carbonation at the weekend & decide whether it's alright to send in then!

    Beautiful Beers Shop

They're just round the corner from me in Bury St Edmunds. I've been in to the shop few times & they've got a great selection. Never used they're online stuff though so can't comment on delivery etc.

    Radical Brewing by Randy Mosher

Easily my favourite brewing book that I've collected so far. Planning to try one of the 12 Christmas brews in time for Christmas 2020 & his India Red Ale is the base for my red IPA.

    Show us your beer.

I haven't seen the whole book, the recipe just popped up on my Google search! Each beer has the full scale brewery recipe & a tweaked homebrew one (which was pretty different for the 1/2 ale clone).

    Show us your beer.

    It's an adapted clone of Brooklyn Brewery's 1/2 Ale from Jennifer Talley's Session Beers book. 23 litres 80% Pilsner 20% Munich 18IBU Chinook @FW 25g Sorachi Ace @5 mins 25g Sorachi Ace @FO OG 1.030 FG 1.004 ABV 3.4%

    Show us your beer.

One of the last few bottles of my Sorachi Saison brewed at the start of the summer. Super happy with this one & easily my clearest beer yet. Yeast was CML Lille Saison but would be interested in trying the same recipe with Belle Saison or Wyeast French Saison.

    September comp American pale ales

I've got a red IPA that's ready & a rye pale ale that's only just bottled. When are you judging @stigman?

    Free pub stuff South Norfolk

I just phoned & ended up speaking to Roger. He didn't seem too aware of stuff being skipped as his wife & son were the ones doing the clear out. He said he'd give me a ring tomorrow once he'd had a sort out. Might be worth giving him a chance to go through his stuff seeing as he's the head brewer!

Have sent you a PM as I'm in Harleston. Very rare for opportunities like this to present itself in my neck of the woods!
