Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

Made my first attempt at a WOW but looks like a fail. 2 lt concentrate, 1 lt cranberry juice topped up to 4 lts with water, 900gm sugar. Yeast, tannin and nutrient with OG 1060 not much krausen but plenty of airlock activity for 5 days then a sudden stop, FG is now 1010 so clearly not...

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

Excellent service from BKT, the kit arrived safely this morning. Cleaned, sanitised and now holding 15ltrs of coopers lager at 3psi. Sadly doesn’t fit in the coolbox.

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

Garage is currently 11c and getting colder so I’ll have to work with that for now. Once it arrives I’ll check if the large, very expensive, never been used cool box we have is suitable, as it can be run 240v or 12v and goes down to -12c I may plan ahead and bottle some when the warmer weather...

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

If the timescale is months rather than days then I’d happily dispense from the all rounder after fermentation. Would look to add the sodastream kit for the extra gas. I ws thinking then gen3.2 would be the best bet as I could dump the trub and use it as a pressure barrel, but the all rounder...

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

I’m a kit brewer so mash control is not something I need to worry about.. how long is it practical to leave the cider/lager on the trub if dispensing direct from the all rounder? Apprecaite the info guys 👍

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

The Fermzilla, Corny and CO2 bottle is beyond budget…. If I go fermzilla I will be using a sodastream bottle due to space

Fermzilla vs bucket and king keg

Looking for advice from those much more experienced than me.. I’m very space limited, brew and store in my garage, currently bucket fermenting and then bottling ( not yet at the drinking stage ) with no room for a fridge. I’ve toying with the idea of a king keg set up instead of bottling, but...

    Coopers lager not fermenting.

Thanks. Sadly no chance of the Boss Lady having it in the house, not even in my Gun room. I’ll give it another few days and make another check. Once it is finished fermenting should I rack into another FV for a while or bottle straight away?

    Coopers lager not fermenting.

All airlock activity stopped yesterday depsite the last 4 days showing 12c temp in the garage. Checked a sample on the hydrometer and it has gone from OG1050 to FG1010 so happy with that result. If I get the same reading tomorrow should I rack off into another FV before bottling?

    First time TC

My first arrempt at TC finished fermenting after 8 days, from 1044 to 1000, and has been sat for 5 days. This is how it looks ( 4 ltr clear AJ + 0.5ltr cloudy ), is this as you would expect? Should it clear further overtime? Or should I rack into another vessel to get it off the trub before...

    Coopers lager not fermenting.

New to brewing and need a little help.. I’ve done a couple of TC’s which get going within 24hrs very easily. I put a coopers lager in the FV yesterday AM and still no activity 28hours later, all instructions followed to the letter, is it too soon for this to be active? The room is at 17c
