    AG Brewday #10 Ordinary Bitter

Should have read 250g of Dextrose, must have copied that across incorrectly. That's what I added. Yes, I am bottling. I reckon 14 days fermentation, then bottle, then about four weeks to get to its best, should be about Christmas! I'm doing an American IPA next weekend, which should also be in...

AG Brew Day #9 Raspberry Ale

Cheers all. It's bubbling away nicely, gone for a blow off tube instead of the normal airlock just in case.

    AG Brewday #10 Ordinary Bitter

I've not ventured into liquid yeasts, yet. I wanted to get my brewing routine down, and I think I'm up to speed with everything else now, so liquid yeasts & starters will be the next thing to get my head round.

AG Brew Day #9 Raspberry Ale

Just racked on to 1.5kg of frozen then pasteurised raspberries. Smelt lush. Got an ABV of 5.5& pre-fruit. I read somewhere that the fruit doesn't change the FG as despite the amount of sugar in the fruit, there is also a lot of water so it cancels it out. Anyone?

    Best beer glass?

My brother-in-law, works as a maintenance guy on a large country estate with a manor house, tied cottages etc. When one resident, an old boy, passed away, my bro-in-law had to go in and clean out his belongings (no relatives to do so) and get the cottage ready to be refurbished. Anyway, long...

AG Brew day #7 Pliny the elder clone.

Yes, funnily enough, I'm drinking another one of these now as I read your post. It is very bitter, but it's not harsh. I have no idea if it's like the real thing. I've been thinking about doing an NEIPA, based on this: http://homebrewacademy.com/denali-single-hop-ipa/ So in that one, which I...

AG Brew day #7 Pliny the elder clone.

Bottled last Sunday, and couldn't wait so cracked one tonight (Friday). Was pretty well carbed. I have no idea if it's anything like the real thing, but it's very nice already. Could smell grapefruit as I poured it, dank to taste initially then tropical fruit/lychees. Bitter but soft with it...

AG Brewday #8 - English IPA

Yes it is, not sure if of the old style or not. My OG sample tasted v. hoppy, lovely colour too. I like the WWS that you can get in Supermarkets, but not sure it's a truly great beer. It's very good though, and that's good enough! Hope this one turns out OK. Little out on my OG on the low...
