    Prior to both of those had you tried a pumpkin beer? Strangely enough i picked up some cans of pumpkin puree in tesco this morning,stuck em back down again though as i have so many other beers to brew.

    After a seven day sabatical on water:-o i finally succumbed to a 25cl bottle of my Beamish stout and it slipped down very well:thumb:

    Could be wrong,i think they are one of the same,originally from Kent but grown in abundance in Worcestershire.

    Beamish

    Did a 6 litre partial mash of a Beamish 'type' stout at the end of October .A tinkered with 'clone recipie'. 5 litres to a mini keg and remainder into 25cl bottles. Just cracked a bottle and must say very pleased with the result. Smooth drinking with a nice small head. Looking forward to Xmas...

    Fermentation great now disaster !!

    I did a mago beer a while back,stuck the fruit in at day 6 if i recall,left it for 5 days,racked it and left for another 4 days before bottling.Came out really nice. Leave it alone basically,stick the fruit in however if wished.:thumb:

    Very happy with this. My first AG brew in the glass.

    Plus one for the Hughes book.Also have the homebrew handbook by Dave Law and Beshley Grimes and found that one a good read

    Geterbrewed Irish malts

    I see that they have re introduced/re stocked with the Irish pale/lager and stout malts:thumb: However they are dearer (if i recall) than before:sad:
