    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

    Tried a mild and a bitter today both brewed with the ale yeast. The mild is really quite good as against the bitter which is 'just beer',not nasty in any way just bland. From here on it's a liquid yeast if i do a bitter,still not produced one that i can honestly say i must re brew.:-(

    I just use granulated and use the calculator to batch prime,it's so much easier imho. A teaspoon per bottle should do you if doing it per bottle.

    Pale mild

    Decided to have a glass of the mild. perhaps a little undercarbed,nice light colour just as i was looking for and very pleased with the taste,not much head but that isn't an issue for me.. The cml yeast seems to have worked well on this:thumb:Certainly a step up from my prevous attempt at a mild.

    The stupid thing is that there is enough room for other forums. It was also an obssesed desire to climb up the google ladder . Shame as there are some knowledgeable people on there.

    Have a go at simple AG

    What's a small amount of sugar?. Always leave the bottles in the warm for 10/14 days to carb up. You might possibly have not added sufficient sugar.

    Obviously what i can detect in my Belgian Blonde, don't know how to describe it. It will get drunk but not sure if i would re brew one,least ways not yet.

    Have just tried a small bottle of a Belgian blonde that i brewed with the cml belgian yeast. Lovely and clear and yeast stable at bottom of bottle. Not sure if it's my type of beer,never tried one before so can't do a comparison, but it's certainly not nasty in any way.

    Clear glass bottles

    I use some clear glass bottles,i do keep em out of any bright light,so far never had a problem.
