Hi Geoff (From an Englishman now Living in South Wales) i completely agree! i brew in 50+ litre batches and bottling 100+ bottles at a time got me so frustrated that i bought 6 19l kegs. very few bottles needed these days :-)

i've never lost a brew to infection either. When i first started AG brewing i even used to sanitize the mash tun before a brew. After 4 or so brews i thought, "Hang on a minute! WTF am i doing?! it gets boiled afterward ffs."

i have to agree with terrym here. it can't possibly be 1016 with 2 cans mixed into 20l. my first thought was aloso thick malt at the bottom of the bucket

Ok so I've come up with the following using beersmith as a guide to where I want the brew to be: 11,000g Marris Otter 1000g Munich Malt 500g Crisp Extra Light Crystal Malt 60 mins: 70g Galaxy (13.5% AA) 10 mins: 2tsp Irish Moss, 1tsp Yeast Nutrient 5 mins: 20g Galaxy 0 Mins: 10g Galaxy 50l...

It's also 65l to brim which just isn't quite enough for me 🤦‍♂️

I would love the thermostat control and digital display... I can pick one up on Ali-Express for quite cheap. Last time I looked it was £107 but by the time you buy from a seller it's at least £180
