    New seal for pressurised keg

Wilko's and The Range were no good, so I popped to work and pinched a bit of Gasket, and made my own 😜 not a bad match for thickness. Fingers crossed, it does the job 😬

    New seal for pressurised keg

My ring is very brittle too 😳 so worried it may break even more of I fiddle with it too much. It's been in the FV for 7 days, so I might just leave it another day, as I hadn't started the transfer yet. I'll try wilko's tomorrow. In work, I know we have some 3-4mm rubber for making gaskets, so...

    New seal for pressurised keg

I've just gone to keg my first batch of beer in a very long time, and realised my seal has cracked. Can I get replacement from wilko's or the range? Or do I have to buy a whole new screw top?

Excuse my ignorance, but do you add the cordial whilst brewing? Or just a splash in her glass? 😂

I need ideas for cider for the mrs

I'm not used to brewing cider, as I'm more a beer person 😋 The Mrs likes Rekorderlig, but she doesn't like strongbow or Magners, as they give her a horrible hangover apparently. Are any of you in the same boat? Can anyone recommend kits that may suit what she likes? With regards to flavours...

    Constant fermenting temps in garage

I started it Sunday evening, checked it yesterday. So strap only been on 24 hours. I could put it in the spare room, but the other half doesn't like the smell 😂 I'll try the strap at the top then 👍

    Constant fermenting temps in garage

Just had a thought of putting a timer on the strap, so it comes on maybe 10pm-8am, when it is probably cooler.

    Constant fermenting temps in garage

Hi, thought I'd hijack this thread, as opposed to starting a similar one. I have a Tom Caxton beer fermenting in my garage. Late last night it dropped to 16-17°, so I put a heat strap around the bottom of the bucket, but it hit 26-27° (but it has been quite warm anyway today) it says to...

    I'm back and I'm cleaning

We had a baby 5 years ago, so the Brewing stuff went into storage 😂😭 But lock down has given me time to kick-start things again 😜 I'll look at brew2bottle, never heard of that before 👍

    I'm back and I'm cleaning

Hi all, I was a member on here a fair few years ago (maybe 6 years?) but I couldn't remember my log in for getting back in 😂 I've dug my old kit out, and found a bit of mould in the bottom of my keg. I have rised it in bleach, and I hope I won't get shouted at by any of you for doing that? I...
