    Cornish beers and breweries

Visited St. Austell a couple of years ago, worth a visit, good brewery tap & food. The shop is worth a visit alone, they had some special offers for some of the smaller batch brews. Skinners could be another to visit.

Pen for lableing brown glass bottles

Think there was thread somewhere on this forum about round labels for bottle caps, think it was an excel spreadsheet that you downloaded and then populated with some info about the brew etc which you then printed on adhesive paper and then used a round cutter to suit the bottle cap.

What's on your to brew list?

An impressive list Cheshire if I may say. Very interested in your thoughts on the Raspberry Wheat beer ie any problems, it's on my to brew list and I've also been looking for an authentic Hoegaaarden recipe, first tried it in the 80,s whilst in Belgium, but since being taken over it seems to...

    Fermentation Not Started

Have just checked the FV and there is about 15/20mm of krausen on top, but still no blow off activity. Took a reading with the hydrometer and it's almost at target. So am I right to assume most of the fermentation has occurred?, will take some more readings over the coming days and keep an eye...

    Fermentation Not Started

Thanks for the info, however still no fermentation even after 60+ hours. Have read somewhere on this forum that i could pitch a spare packet of yeast into the wort and give it a stir to try and start fermentation, is that my best option to try and rescue the brew?

Very first AG brew happening tomorrow - totally stoked for this

Hope everything goes ok, doing my 5th AG brew tomorrow all of the advice on this thread is applicable. A well worn phrase I know "but learn from any mistakes" I'm not saying you will make any, but it's a learning curve. Tried a keg of my 3rd brew tonight not great but still drinkable. I was...

    Cleaning.

Be careful with washing up liquid, there are some threads on here about it. The best thing is stick to one cleaning regime that works for you, I clean and sanitise after use and then I clean and sanitise before I brew and use the FV

Welcome to the forum, I have found this forum a great source of help/information. Have only done 4 AG brews so far, made a mistake on my 3rd brew but have learned from that mistake, inkbird and fridge two invaluable bits of kit, have you got a heater for the fridge?
