Anthony Joshua victory over Andy Ruiz.

The guy Ruiz looked like he had forgotten to go to the training camp. I have seen fitter looking people in the local Weight Watchers. :laugh8:

    Constant supply of beer

Don't worry too much about it skulltat, if you drink 40 cans easily in a weekend you don't need to think too much about the long term. Just make sure you have a decent life insurance policy ashock1 Honestly mate, I am not joking here. You should seriously think about cutting down, that is not...

    Noob questions on first kit

Ah, I wouldn't waste your money on a heater. Stick the FV in an inside cupboard and as long as it stays around the 20c mark you will be fine. You could probably buy all you need plus a good kit for less than £50. It's really not that expensive to get all you need to brew a simple kit.

    Scotland trip itinerary assist, please

Our (also massively over budget) parliament building is worth a look around if you are in Edinburgh and is next door to the palace of Holyrood if you are interested in the touristy things.

What are the best types of bottles? Where do you get them from? Share your opinions...

I bought these when I started brewing and they are good quality Tim. https://brew2bottle.co.uk/collections/bottles-bottling/products/15-x-500ml-brew2bottle-glass-amber-beer-bottles

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

Got this brew on the go at the weekend Clint so I'll let you know how it turns out. Decided just to use the LME alone and did not add any of the sugar. Fingers crossed. Bubbling away nicely at the moment.

Which is the best merlot wine kit

Steve, how long do you generally leave the wine to mature? The instructions I got with mine says technically they are ready to drink once bottled but get better with age. What's your take on that?

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

Going by that then Clint it looks like I would be pretty close to a 4% beer if I just left all the sugar out. Do you think that would make much difference to the taste?

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

Clint, the malt is 3kg and the sugar is 650g. The kit ABV is 5.6%. Don't think there would really be any room in the fv for more water.

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

If I wanted to knock down the ABV to about 4% how much of the sugar do you think I would need to add?

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

Just wanted to lower the ABV a little and wondered about just putting in the liquid malt extract on its own into the primary fermenter rather than adding the brewing sugar as well?

    Youngs American Pale Ale (APA)

Has anyone tried brewing this kit without adding the brewing sugar?? Thought it might lower the ABV but did not want to wreck the kit totally?

    Biab

Looked at a few BIAB videos online. Some people look to wrap up their pot in blankets etc to keep the pot at the right temperature. Just wondered can anyone advise, is this really necessary? Would it make a massive difference if you just stuck the lid on and nothing else? Also, when it comes...

    prime with..?

    ok thanks all

    prime with..?

Anyone tried using the Youngs Brew Enhancer for priming? I find table sugar a bit grainy and the Brew Enhancer is a bit more powdery and would be easier to dissolve as I normally prime direct to the bottle.

    The Handshake

I have always thought it to be a man thing for some reason. I quite like the traditional handshake but never feel comfortable shaking hands with a woman - don't know why really. Going back to the clenched thumb thing - the pat on the back at the same time has sneeked in as well I've noticed...

    The Handshake

Here you are...............not the first one by the way! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50085860 What is wrong with shaking hands like your dad?

    The Handshake

Why does no one shake hands properly anymore? Noticed this first in football but now it seems to be creeping in everywhere............I just found out it is called the "homie" handshake!

Can I still bottle after using barrel?

Brewed a Coopers Irish Stout kit and after bottling some I put the remainder in a pressure barrel. The stuff in the bottles is great but I have no head whatsoever when I pour from the pressure barrel. Looks just like Coca Cola!! Don't want to pour the beer from the pressure barrel away -...
