    Obtaining bottles

A near by brewery (Four Peaks) uses a vinyl label which peels easily from the bottle. Any remaining glue cleans off easily with a wire-pad. When I've been a slacker and allowed my own stock to drop low, I purchase a couple of 12-packs to consume. I prefer their 'Kilt Lifter' ale. Not pdf...

Froth on top waiting on the boil

Well, just to be boring... I didn't skim until last year. There may be no 'scientific' reason they should have, but my serious boilovers stopped. I never had boilovers until coming to Arizona. (The water here is extremely high in mineral. )

    One for the cyclists

I hardly cycle any more, but once did a great deal of it so am a sympathetic cage (& bike) driver. I used to get rather defensive when folks tried to gain the upper hand by saying as a car driver they paid road tax that the bicyclists didn't pay. Yet, every cyclist I've known has also driven a...

The first one speaks the truth... In about November, the population of my area of Arizona goes up about 60% with folks who migrate from the north Western & Midwestern states who have retired & annually escape the snow. Many are >80 who drive big SUVs pulling their 25-35' RV trailers. It can...

    Its too hot.

We've been in Coolidge, AZ for 2.5yrs. see it that high. Last year we had 10 days of >115f (46c) in a row. Tomorrow's meant to be >112f... not necessarily looking forward to my motorcycle mission in the morning.!

was there a story behind this? My first thought was a turbine overheat (& fire?), but these blades have noticable structure issues most of their lengths with very little discoloration overall which would result from for. Maybe a direct lightening strike?

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

A bottle of my last 1/4 case of "Victory or Death" dunkle-bach. I'm missing this batch, since I haven't needed my next one (a Red Rock ESB). Sadly I'll be drinking my favorite commercial stuff, "Kilt Lifter", from Four Peaks in Tempe,AZ until fermenting, etc are done.

I was a motion picture projectionist when that came out. The Roman Catholics asked for it to not be shown (first run through town) because it showed their priesthood smoking& drinking and they didn't want the Baptists making a big todo about that. LOL (ahhh, living in the southern bible-belt)

    What/who got you into brewing?

My beloved [British] wife. Everytime we made a trip to England, we always spent our social time in traditional pubs. When we came back to the States, I'd moan & whine about American beers (& the places that serve them). Our trips became get and far spread, so the moaning & whining got more...

    Beards.

Trend? What's that? Had one in the 'old Navy', then the went away... When I retired from the service, i threw the razor out. Been fuzzy ever since. My sons (30 & 28) weren't old enough to remember what i look like without one.

    Rainbow bridge

Our family has had to make those difficult decisions in the past. They are very difficult, yet a peaceful release is always better. Thoughts and prayers for you, Tess, as your house adjusts to Wooster's physical absence.

My family had an old Renault Dauphine that had one to plug in the back.... Unfortunately I never drive it, because Dad decided to rebuild the engine & it needed cylinder insert sleeves. asad1
