I'm sure this has probably been answered on here before but do people generally dry hop in secondary? If you only primary ferment for around 4 days before putting into secondary then it would make more sense to dry hop in secondary to ensure all the aroma and flavours are extracted from the hops...

So I'm looking at stainless steel taps, some have brass shanks, does that make a difference?

I am looking get a kegerator set up at some point and obviously need some taps. There seems to be 3 main types to choose from, the difference mainly being the shape and size of the spout. Which type do people use themselves and think is the best type for me to go for?

Yeah gonna start putting some feed on em now. Gonna put some blackcurrants under there (for wine) as they don't mind a little bit of shade, might stick some blueberries under there too. What kind of yield do you expect from each plant? Enough for more than one 20 litre brew?

My hop plants have had a growth spurt in the last week or so. Probably still a little behind a lot people being in the north.

I refused to pay £40 plus on a worth chiller so made my own with £20 of 10mm copper pipe and wrapped it round an old paint tin. The good thing about making your own as well is that you can get the dimensions right for your own kit.

I want to buy a spanner to help get my corny keg posts off and have been looking around on Google for what size to get. There seems to be 2 thoughts, 22mm and 7/8 which are pretty similar anyway. 22mm are far easier to get hold of, does it make much difference which size you get?

I did exactly the same, mainly cuz I'm tight, but bought the copper pipe off Amazon for about £20 and the braided hose I've always got lying around anyway.

This might be a stupid question but at what stage exactly does wort become beer? As soon as it starts fermenting? When it's finished fermenting etc?
