Well I cracked one open tonight probably a bit too soon as it's only been in the bottle for just over 3 weeks. Not sure about it at all the alcohol taste is way too overpowering. I'm going to leave it another couple of weeks before I try another I just hope it mellows.

I'm bottling it tonight, in the end I went for a hallertau hop tea bag which I added 3 days ago. It smells nice, I'm sure it'll be a good un!

I wish I'd left mine another week before bottling it. But I'd already hopped it so I couldn't. Clearing well in the bottle though after 1 1/2 weeks. I'm looking forward to opening one in a month!

Mine seems to be done in the fv in under 2 weeks??? Down to 1005, it doesn't look that clear but I'll leave it longer to condition in the bottle. Hopefully I can keep my hands of it for a couple of months!

Hi all, I've got a Coopers Oz lager kit to get on but I'm thinking of hopping it up a bit. Have any of you guys got any recommendations? I'm thinking Citra? or Pioneer? Also what method would you use to hop the brew? I like hoppy 'summer' type ales so ideally I would be aiming for that...

A friend of mine has brewed this, it's the best kit beer I've tasted yet! Lovely stuff definitely on my 'to do' list.

Just got this one started today. Used 500g of muntons light spray malt, 500g of dextrose and a small jar of honey. Brewed to 21.5 litres with og reading of 1045 Smelt beautiful!

I've got one of these kits to make at some stage, I've not had this one before but I'm thinking of making it with a Munton's brew enhancer and some honey. What do you all think? Will it be OK? How much honey would you use to give it a slight flavour? Cheers

When I stirred it the yeast packed down at the bottom of the fv got disturbed and seems to still be floating in the beer after 3 days, is this normal? Will it clear? Thanks

How much sugar are you using per 500ml bottle when bottling this beer? Cheers

Yes I sprinkled it into the surface, left it for a couple of minutes and gave it a stir. Do you recommend using yeast nutrient when brewing?

Hi Bob Thanks for your reply. I was a bit confused as to why it was taking so long as it had had a week at 20 degrees. Also with me not understanding temperature and hydrometer readings I thought it may have been finished without me realising. I've got a lot to learn with this brewing thing...
