Just tried my Yorkshire Bitter after a week in the bottle. I must say it’s rather nice, it came out a little stronger than expected, but I will be brewing it again. Todays brew was the Summer Ale, as I am after a lighter one for Christmas to go with the Barley Wine chaser. ;)

I’d be going to the Black Bill in Coniston, they have their own brewery out the back. Their beers are a bit more traditional, but very nice.

Thanks all, I think I go down the xls route with me having a Grainfather and using the automation from the app. Just need to remember to debit the amounts when brewing. I may have a play with the XML output and import it to auto calc.... play time is coming.

How do you guys manage your inventory, Remaining quantities of grains/hops/yeast etc? I seem to know what I may have, but don’t know what I actually have.

I normally drop mine into a pot with some no rinse and fish out as I bottle.

That could be done, check it again in a couple of days. Some years do work fast, and can complete in a few days.

It’s easier just using a whirlpool paddle with a drill, I used to use O2 and a stainless air stone. Made no real difference to be honest, probably more important if you close transfer.
