    All in one systems.

I am tempted due to the footprint size and the ability to control the mash temps (that really appeals to me). I do like the look of the Grainfather, and I think the biggest gain for me would be consistency in batches. I could use my Thermos mash tun for holding the sparge water, so that would be...

    Robobrew/Grainfather type systems and sparging

I found this to be a good vid to watch. Have a look at 18.45 Yes you need a separate sparge heater, or heat the water beforehand and store it ready.

    Fermentation Fridge build

Can the heat get around the shelf OK? You need the air to circulate.

    Deathstar's Brew Day

Bit late in posting, however I did eventually get round to doing my first AG in 13 years on Sunday. Supported my LHBS (Leyland) and purchased all my grains and hops on the Saturday along with some bins. I was very original and named this revival APA Style brew "Death to the Star" So the Grain...

Brew mat or Brew belt for use with Inkbird please?

So, I am using a mat as for me it provides a mre even heat from the bottom rather than from a isolated point around the middle. I have my probe, taped to the outside, but then covered with some insulating material to try and limit external influences. I find that my temp is only swinging around...

    Inkbird ITC-308-WIFI Instructions

At the moment, I am only heating due to the location of my FV's, but I have mine set to 0.3 and its tracking well. I have not bothered with the alarms to be honest. I slowly dialed down the HD whist testing using the wifes wine FV.

    Hernia

Yeah, you will be up and about. Just moving slower than normal. As long as you can keep your bowels moving loosly, you wull be fine. To be honest that was the worst thing for me.

    Hernia

I had the mesh op around 7 years ago, with around a 10cm incision. The worst bit is getting out of bed for the first time as it will be a tad painful. I was in and out within 4 hours, op at 9 out by 1 ish after I had eaten something. Yes, it’s painful, but the initial high intensity pain will...

    Plastic pressure barrels?

I binned my last two pressure barrels. The plastic one was around 15 years old and had gone all brittle. I had an ally one too, but that oxidised, plus it was a top tap rather than a bottom tap. I always felt I had to over carbonate on the top tap versions.

    Bitter/Hoppy IPA

    Bitter/Hoppy IPA

All, please be gentle however I have been playing with Beersmith and a recipe. I generally like hoppy fruity IPA's and I have come up with the following recipe. I would like some of you more experienced members to cast their eye over it and advise of any recommendations. Grain 4.8KG Pale Malt...

    Hello from Lancashire

Getting back into full grain brewing next week after a 13 year break! (Kids) Pulled out all my gear at the weekend and gave it a good clean and sterilisation. Need a few new bits and bobs, but looking forward to it again.
