I stuck one of these on last Sunday. Had it on a heat pad overnight then took it off as went to 24oc (Think 18oc is the ideal temp). Was bubbling nicely for a few days. Prob leave it 2 week before bottling. Im going to do some bottles with vanilla extract (in the bottle) as recommended by the...

    Reusing bottles - Ranked

Elbow grease is great. I use it all the time on my plastic fermentation vessels. Was scrubbing for ages to get a krausen ring off with no avail. Then tried that a min later it disappeared without me touching it. It just ran off. I squirt everything with that. Give it a quick clean . Swill off...

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

My first ever brew was a Cooper's Mexican cerveza. Not bad at all. Was missing something though. Don't think I was happy with my carbonation and maybe hops next time. Will definitely be in a keg too!!

To Keg or not to Keg, that is the question

Just seen this. I'm looking into getting a keg myself to cut down bottling times and space (Too many bottles on cupboards). Just one question. How does kegging get over the sediment issue? I know my bottles have sediment in them when I'm filling. Just curiousacheers.

    Label removal holy grail.

I had a job n half trying to get labels off demijohns and a plastic Fv yesterday. Used one of those crappy green rough sponge thingies and just turned the glue green! Going to try non permanent marker pen next time I think.
