Here's a similar one I saw recently in Cork, painted green sometime after partition.

Priming a corny keg - temperature

Thanks for that! I can always inject a bit of CO2 to seal it.

Priming a corny keg - temperature

By way of a change I was thinking of priming my bitter by adding sugar to the keg. I usually cold crash, keg, and transfer the keg straight to the fridge. My question is; will the yeast get to work at no more than 8°, or should I stand the keg at ambient temperature for a while? Thanks.

Transfer trub from kettle to FV?

In the past all my brews have been 23/19 litres and I've cooled with a copper coil right after the boil and transferred to the FV. Just started doing smaller batches in a stock pot on the hob and leaving to cool naturally overnight. Obviously I have some trub when it comes to pouring the wort...

    Splitting/dividing 11.5g yeast sachet

Thanks. I was only thinking of hydrating it as it seems safer and easier to estimate half a volume of liquid rather than trying to guess when I'd used half a sachet of dry, but thanks for the point about dry lasting much longer than hydrated.

    Splitting/dividing 11.5g yeast sachet

Getting a bit long in the tooth to be lugging around 23l FVs, so thought I'd start playing about with smaller batches. Being a tight wad it seems a shame to pitch a whole sachet of dried yeast into 11-12l. I was thinking of starting the yeast in water and pouring just half into the wort, keeping...

    Kegerator build

This is what I did. The fridge is a Hotpoint Future RLA36 (the older RLA34 has the same cabinet), room for 2 kegs (new style or the older fatter ones) and gas.

    Stuck fermentation - gluco-amylase

I post this just for interest sake, it may be of use to others. I recently did an AG bitter with an OG of 1043. I pitched Llamand London, two weeks later I was stuck at 1024. I agitated, shouted at it, even swore! No change. I stirred in 12g of glucoamyalse bought from Amazon. A few days later...

    Kegorator

I haven't came across that one, but it's model number suggests it's similar. If you could possibly get the seller to photograph (or a least inspect) the inside without the bottom tray in place you'd know if the compressor housing doesn't cover the whole width on the cabinet - a feature I haven't...

    Kegorator

The Hotpoint RLA36 variants and the earlier RLA34 are brilliant, although people advertising used fridges often don't give the model number, which in this case is on curved chrome above the door. Pictured with the newer, taller kegs but also takes the older fatter ones.
