    About 30 ltrs of plum jerkum well 20 L of boiling water on about 30k of plums which was as many as I could fit in a 50 L saucepan and have enough headspace

    Just as my wort comes to the boil I draw off like 300 ml and mix with same amount boiled water let cool to 30ish and add yeast thus when my wort has cooled to pitching temp I have a rageing starter

    Ive been doing half hour boils for years and would love for a pro brewer to explain why they do it for an hour in the factory and if any experimented and changed thier minds when enery prices recently went nuts

    Ive used a soda stream in my early days to carb beer i was too impatient to wait for. Got very foamy and would gush out of the bottle when diaconnecting fromsoda stream seemed tk get better if you moved it about it and the left it for abit

    It took me over 2 years to get through a brick of saf 05 and was a very boreing experience im very glad to buy little packets of what i fancey now, most times i use one packet over 2 brews by scooping some crud off the top of one brew and pouring into another
