    The art of parking.

My local supermarket car park is a magnet for poor parking. So I keep a bunch of these in my car and place them under the windscreen wipers of badly parked cars. My wife absolutely loves this game…

Fermzilla All rounder - Dry Hop valve review

I just take the top off for single dry hop recipes but for multiple dry hopping, I use the same PCO dry hop valve as yourself and it works great, especially with 2 tee pieces to make purging easier. I also use the valve for adding finings at the end of fermentation when needed….

    MJ Liberty Bell yeast

I used LB36 in a pale ale and it was good but nothing special. I did the same recipe with Verdant IPA and it was way better for my taste. These days, I mainly use LB36 for stouts…

Brewzilla whirlpool arm and transfer to fermentor

Just filling my FV via the pump creates bubbles. If the yeast needs it or not, doesn’t really matter to me as there’s no effort needed to do it…

Brewzilla whirlpool arm and transfer to fermentor

I’m sure that some people will say it does effect it the final product but I don’t notice any great difference.

Brewzilla whirlpool arm and transfer to fermentor

I also always use the pump as it also aerates the wort prior to pitching the yeast. But as I’m a mean brewer, I tilt the Brewzilla at the end to get that last pint or so :-)

    Bottling Guns

I found the handle was too tricky to hold in order to control the flow and it would get stuck sometimes. Maybe I just had a bad one…

    Bottling Guns

I have the older cheap one. I’ve not tried the nukatap.

    Malt Pricing

Not sure if this was already shared by someone else but it looks the only ingredients which I can’t grow are about to get more expensive….

    Bottling Guns

I bought the Kegland bottling gun and it’s now sitting in my box of bad purchases. It was useless. I then bought this counter pressure filler from AliExpress that wasn’t cheap but it works well as long as I chill the bottles. https://a.aliexpress.com/_msrsrzi To be honest, it doesn’t get...

    Re-Hydrating Yeast

I never rehydrate but this sounds Interesting and I’m going to give it a go :)

    Bottling…

I find that buying the sugar sachets in bulk from a catering supplier is cost effective. Less than a tenner for 1000.

    Bottling…

This is exactly what I do. I bought a catering box of Tate & Lyle white sugar sachets which are 2.5 grams. I fill the bottle and then add the sugar. I used to batch prime but had mixed results and a few gushers. Plus I try to avoid any oxidation these days.

    Fermzilla 30L allrounder

They all come with a handle but it’s quite small and not easy to use. Plus you have to make sure that you don’t over tighten it as you can break the top. I don’t use it any more after it fell off when I lifted one of my all rounders and I almost lost a brew. I now use the dedicated strap which...

    Fermzilla 30L allrounder

I really only use the valve for NEIPA’s and it works well as long as you use a 1.5ltr bottle. I have to give the bottle a shake so that the hops don’t get stuck. I have also used the valve for gelatine when it’s not a good idea to open the lid right at the end of fermentation. Apart from that I...

    Fermzilla 30L allrounder

I have 2 All Rounders and I love them (and there are people on this forum who love the keg king snub nose version which I’m sure are just as good). I don’t always ferment under pressure but I highly recommend getting a red Kegland spunding valve with a gauge as they are much easier to use than...

    NEIPA Yeast Recommendations

I used to use the muslin bag and magnet technique (the magnets are food grade scientific ones) but the results were not great. Sometimes the bag would get wet with high kruasen and I'm sure that was an issue. Now I just open my fermenter on day 2 or 3 (while there is active fermentation) and...

    Carbonation drops advice

I use 5g sugar sachets. You can pick up a few extra when visiting a coffee shop or buy a catering box of 1000 Tate & Lyle sachets for under a tenner.

    Keg/fermenter washer recommendation

According to the specs, the key king has a more powerful pump. But I would check with someone who has one as to if it’s any good. When I bought my bucket blaster, the keg king version 1 didn’t look good to me. But their latest one looks just as good (on paper) and if I was deciding again, I...

    Keg/fermenter washer recommendation

I have the Kegland bucket blaster and whilst it's a pain in the A to use (the rubber suction feet keep slipping off the pump and it's tricky to balance kegs on it) it's brilliant for cleaning kegs and my All Rounder fermenter. But to be honest, it's just a pond pump with disconnects added. So...
