    All in one systems

Ah, the age old problem of product definition not matching the actual name. I’ve always wondered why manufacturers don’t just name their products inline with the real volume.

    All in one systems

I was wondering the same thing myself. For my next system, I want to be able to produce 2 kegs (38L) and so a 50L sounds perfect to me. It’s probably just me but I think of things in terms of keg production. Therefore 30L, 50L and 70L would give you ample headroom for 1, 2, and 3 kegs.

    Kviek Yeast.

There’s a lot of great info on this forum from brewers who have used Kveik. I use it for IPA’s and pseudo lagers. I prefer Hornindal for IPA’s (Voss is ok but some brews tasted a bit like old apricot jam) and for the lagers as it’s exceptionally clean. The key is to ferment at 30C to 35C for...

I must admit that the G40 looks like a quality piece of kit and I love the form factor. But I know what you mean about impatience! Waiting for the Gen 4 is wrecking my head because I want a bigger system and I may not even buy it! Typical FOMO ;-)

    All in one systems

I considered a 40 litre system because I would like to get at least 2 kegs out of each brew day. But I think you would need to push the G40 and S40 to the limit to achieve that. Maybe a current owner has some advice. So I’m looking at the slightly bigger systems and hoping to hear some details...

    All in one systems

I considered the Grainfather as the controller is better positioned than than the Brewzilla and Brew Monk and it has more functionality. But I’m glad that I bought the Brewzilla because I just enter the temps for the mash then boil and that’s it. No need to spend a lot more money be nagged at to...

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

I’ve never seen any keg king stuff in Ireland or the UK but I always wanted to try their products. The metal stand for the AR is even worse. Flipping it upside down helps a bit but it really irks me to have to pay for the webbing to attach it to the main fermenter. Looks like your solution is...

    All in one systems

I love the look of the Spike Solo, Clawhammer, Blichmann Breweasy, Unibrau etc. The Dark Farm AIO looks good (although although I would replace the Inkbird and then the costs would go up). I‘ve lusted after the Brewtools and Speidel Braumeister for ages and they have lots of replaceable...

    Ss brewtech unitank

Sound advice. I’m going to research glycol chillers as my wife is fed up with all my old fridges taking up loads of space!

That’s a serious piece of kit!

    Ispindle and WiFi booster/relay

I had similar issues with my wifi quality. So I bought a pair of cheap tp-link power line extenders on eBay that use the electricity sockets in the house as a network. One tp box is plugged into the mains and then also into my existing router using an Ethernet cable. The other tp box is my...

They look like a fantastic piece of kit. If I were going to buy one, I’d go for the 14 gallon so as to have room to expand my production. But the price is a tad eye watering. I see that Kegland is planning to launch a fermzilla 2 steel conical this year which will use tri-clamps. I’m sure that...

    Temperature control

This looks great and I’m going to give it a go. I’ve got a spare smart plug (tp-link kasa) and Google home device, so thanks for sharing!

    Darkfarm Brew Tank

I’m also interested in this and I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s review of the kit. Also, I would be interested if anyone uses a different brew controller or PID with it rather than the inkbird.

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

I got my AR’s from Geterbrewed and the pressure kit on AliExpress.

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

Nice, I never thought of that!

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

Same here. I fitted a thermowell and it worked great for a while. But after I removed it for cleaning, I couldn’t get the thing back on. The connection for the bolt is too small and for one brew it fell off into the wort. So I bought another lid and I‘ve stopped using the Thermowell. I just...

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

That’s exactly what I do and I’ve had no issues with oxidation. All the better if you can give the AR a quick purge with CO2 after dry hopping. I also have a 2nd AR. One goes into my fermentation fridge for lagers and some ales. I use the second one with a Fermizilla AR jacket and a heat belt...

    Ali Express delivery costs Yikes!

I saw a Kegland video once whereby they said that in order to support local retailers, that they disincentivise buying on Ali by making the delivery cost extortionate. For countries without a local retailer, the delivery is cheaper. I have no issues buying local here in Ireland but our...

    Fermzilla 30L All rounder ?

Hi Steve, I bought a pack of 8 white PTFE (food grade) stir bar magnets and I put 4 at each end of the hop bag. Then on the outside of the AR, I use 2 super strong neodymium fishing magnets to create a kind of hammock. All of these magnets are super cheap on AliExpress. However, since I wrote...
