Brewed a version of the durden park amber ale #86, came in a bit light at 1.072 but I'm sure it will be fine

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I couldn't resist and samples my rauchbier after two weeks in the bottle. The smoke is not overly intense which is a slight surprise but it's a very nice pint. I'll let the rest sit in the fridge for a couple of weeks and see if that makes much of a difference

    The Mixed Fermentation Thread

I'm planning to brew a dark lichtenhainer inspired beer tomorrow, using Philly sour and was wondering if the dregs from 1-2 bottles of boon/timmermans pure gueze pitched at the same time into a 1 gallon batch are likely to have an effect?

    Bottle conditioning high Fg beers

Hi all, I'm planning to brew and bottle a few barleywines over the next month that are likely to end up with higher then usual fgs (1.02-1.028 & ~9-11%). I was wondering if priming sugar/yeast is needed in beers with a Fg this high. I'm planning on letting the sit for a while so aren't worried...

    Kveik

Has anyone used the MJ Voss dried yeast? I pitched some yesterday evening and after a few hours there was what looked too be a Krausen forming, by this morning it appears that Krausen has been broken up/dropped already. It's definently still visibly and audibly fermenting, just wondering if...

    Secret Santa Reviews 2020!

Finally had a chance to hey to my second beer, this lovely Belgian old ale. This is a lovely beer, with no alcohol burn and lovely dark fruit aroma and flavour. Not alot of carbonation, but this beer doesn't really need it, wouldn't change it at all really. Much thanks Santa!

    Secret Santa Reviews 2020!

Had a very nice and overall balanced pint of rigging bitter last night, very easy drinking for a 6% bitter but could see myself ordering a few of those down the pub during a session!

    Kegland mk4

Hi all, I've got a kegland mk4 regulator with a sodastream adapter, and had a leak somewhere in the system last night. Could anyone confirm if the washer in the photo is meant to fit into the adapter? Thanks

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

First crack at my keg of pale ale, a bit more bitter than I intended, should have probably reduced the early addition and moved the late to steep. Still a drinkable brew though

    What did you brew today?

Me and the old man currently have a rauchbier boiling and an old ale mashing, just about enough space for it all
