As should (if they don't already) the chewing gum manufacturers for the cleaning of gum of the pavements.

    Bottle Brush Recommendation Please

I'm rinsing my glass wine and 500ml plastic stout bottles out, as soon as empty. The latter really get caked in the dimples at the bottom. To rinse them, I empty out the last of any liquid, put 1/2" of water in the bottom, then shake really vigorously. That clears the sediment in the bottom...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

My 5gallons of red fermented extra quick, iSpindels graph in Ubidots had flatlined by last Thursday - just 6 days after starting, so on Friday I added the stabilizer and yesterday I was able to rack it into bottles. I have never had a wine started and bottled so quickly before. I rinsed then...

There is a system, but I think its a rather disjointed system. You need to know where you are and which local council is responsible, before making a report. Chances of minor reports being followed up, almost nil and lots of passing of the buck.

    Fast food litter

That I think is the crux of the matter. Its the way people are brought up today, all problems are the responsibility of someone else to deal with.

    Fast food litter

So, they should take their litter home - there is no excuse at all for just dumping it where they finish with it. I regularly tackle people who just dump their rubbish like this, if more did it there would be less of it. Other countries do cope, why can't the UK? The UK used to be reasonably...

Then credit card number - so long as it is traceable back to the owner of the rubbish.

The vendors make a profit from their sales, the end result is that part of their product ends up dumped at the roadside. Were they not there making a profit, that additional form of rubbish would not exist.

    Vaseline in fermenting

Much of my wine making kit, I bought as a second hand package from someone who was having to give the hobby up to move into a old peoples home. Included with the kit was a pot of Vaseline and I'm now wondering if that might have had some purpose in the hobby? I have slight trouble with a FV tap...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

I have just done my second comparison between the reading from an actual hydrometer and the data from my iSpindel, during an actual batch of red wine. I made the first comparison when I started it, at which point the iSpindel showed 1.0812 and the hydrometer 1.0850. As the batch is nearing...

    iSpindel Purchase

Yes, great fun  Try the trick with coax, a passive antenna repeater. It just needs a bit of modern TV coax, you strip the outer shield back leaving just the end of the inner core poking out at either end of the coax, I think I read trimmed to 32mm. Make sure the inner is clear of the...

Their system puts in the +44, when you select the UK in the country list. It also puts brackets in, around the first three digits and I tried both with and without the initial zero.

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

Ubidots includes messaging for specific events occuring in the data (Data, Events). Messaging in the form of sending an email, or an SMS message to your mobile phone. Curious to test it, I set up an event yesterday triggered by my Ispindel reporting an SG less than 1.0350. The SG fell below that...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

As already suggested above, any size of iSpindel will certainly fit in a one gallon/ five litre FV of the plastic bucket with lid type and they are much easier to clean than the traditional demi-john. I cannot see anyone wanting to make less than that amount. They come with an un-drilled lid...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

That is what the seller called it, a big XL. In fact it was a quite snug fit, I had to round the bottom corner and file away some from the sides of the V4 pcb. There wasn't any obvious free space to add weight at the bottom of the PET, but I managed to stick 4mm lead solder to the pcb alongside...

Cheaper from Geoshop, but I was unable to determine the shipping cost without placing an order. My latest V6.2(?) is working fine with the gyro, producing upto 6 digits of tilt.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133422810230?ViewItem=&item=133422810230 Shipping was near double the cost of the single PET, so maybe worthwhile getting a group purchase together to buy a few.

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

The 'easy calibration' process is not that difficult and no need to waste the sugar, if equipment is sterile to begin with. I began with tap water at 20C, then gradually added sugar checking it with an hydrometer (though I found a refractometer easier). I added the sugar in 7 stages of around...
