iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

I have just confirmed that it does indeed store the website along with the fermentation data, in the repeater - I turned off my internet access, connected my laptop to the Brewpiless access point and entered the IP, the full set of data appeared in my browser.

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

It does seem to imply that the data is saved locally, the other thing I was curious about was the being able to view old logs - it suggests a suitable viewer can be downloaded. Thanks.

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

My only reason for buying/building, was to avoid needing to use external websites to review the progress of my fermentation. I don't use it to control temperature, that I do via a completely separate gadget. With Repetidor gadget I can just check it's built in display, or for an even better idea...

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

Can anyone tell me where the Repetidor gadget stores its actual data to produce the website graphs please, because I'm a little confused? Is it stored in the gadgets own memory? Or is it on an external website? The reason I ask, is that - unlike Ubidots and Brewspy, I didn't need to set up a...

Does that include a local to the FV OLED display? The description in the link, seems to suggest just turning the pi into a server which could then be accessed to display the data.

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

Take a close look at Brewpi itself, it may do all you need. As above, iSpindel can only send data to one single destination, in my case that was initially Ubidots, then Brewspy, now it sends it to my Brewpiless repeater and display gadget. Keeping in mind that I am new to this Brewpiless...

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

I started with Ubidots, but found it (the free version) very restrictive. I was constantly exceeding the daily dot allowance. I then used Brewspy, which had no such restrictions, but that needed a suitable Android device which I didn't really have, or to use an emulator such as Bluestacks, to be...

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

All set up and absolutely working fine :-) Rather strangely, I have found the wifi reception range between the repeater and the iSpindel is very much less than between the repeater and my router. I previously ran the iSpindel with two walls and two room between it and the wifi router it...

iSpindel - low cost data logging/display gadget

This one - Repetidor iSpindel con Display Oled - (in Spanish, use Google translate) Is anyone else using one please? It's like the iSpindel Opensource, runs on adapted Brewpiless firmware. It powers via USB C, includes a display of all of the iSpindles instantaneous data and acts as a repeater...

Best app to use with iSpindel

Copied below is a typical start graph of a batch of wine, though beer reacts quite similarly over the first two days from the yeast going in, to the fermentation beginning. This use the iSpindel with Brewspy via Bluestacks on my Win10 laptop. The graph begins from when the iSpindel is dropped...

I'm still using Brewspy, on a Win10 PC, via Bluestacks. Because of the Bluestacks emulator, it runs rather slow, but just about usable. Something I have not found how to do yet - On the Home screen it shows a line of data, various green buttons, with below it a graph of Gravity and...

    iSpindel - digital WiFi hydrometer

You copy and paste the equation into the iSpindle Polynomial line, on the configuration page, when the iSpindel is in Acees Point mode. I understand, you could alternatively enter it into BrewSpy, but I never have delved into doing this.

I am using two devices to access Brew-spy, a Win10 laptop, running Bluestacks Android emulator and a rooted Nook with Android installed on it. Both show the correct time and date, but both show Brew-spy data in BST time.

I have a minor issue in Brewspy and advised the author... Since the UK switched from BST to to GMT, Brewspy has continued to log in BST - or at least an hour ahead of true GMT. Anyone else noticed?

Anything you add or take away from the iSpindel after you have calibrated it, will wreck your calibration. If the rim of the PET is smooth and the cap in good condition, there should be no need for anything more to seal it. The seal is along the top edge of the PET. I have done 5x brews so far...

I arranged calibration at every 0.010 SG, all the way up in SG from 1.000 to 1.080. Calculated by amount of water and carefully weighed sugar and compared at each step with an hydrometer. Water volume plus carefully weighed sugar, is much more accurate than using a difficult to read accurately...

Why, that would involve disturbing the battery and having to recalibrate from scratch. A reasonable capacity and genuine 18650 has more than adequate capacity for any fermentation.

I'm also into vaping and I bought genuine cells from a site called Torchy. He offers an extra discount to those buying for vaping. I don't know the manufacturers, he has his cells relabeled with the company name, but I have no doubt about their authenticity and genuine capacity.
