    Duty increase.

I appreciate that but surprised that there was no reminder about it, as it is only referred to minimally on the site or from what I have found. And Feb 1 to Jan 31 seems a random choice of dates? (as opposed to jan 1 to dec 31 or financial year)

    Duty increase.

I didn't realise that you had to re calculate your SPR every February.

I don't recall having any notification about this...

    No rinse sanitizers

I have seen percarbonate being talked about as no rinse but especially in hard water areas it leaves behind a white sediment. definitely rinse.

    Heating elements on the blink

Backers element has a round middle pin (iirc), needed specific lead. CEF were suppliers. I just mentioned Backers as other elements probably/possibly the same.

    Heating elements on the blink

Backers kettle elements have a cutout at 100c built in. I discovered and bought brewbuilders 3kw as replacement

    Chalky deposits on fermenter

It's interesting that you found chemsan/starsan worked, I didn't have that result, though when using neat AMS it does the trick

    welcome to wales.

    I think that the leeway is 10% + 2. Therefore 30 mph zone 30 + 3 + 2 = 35, 40 zone 46, 50 / 57.

Making a DIY all in one brewing system?

I use 100 litre brewpot, the 2 x 3kw (brewbuilder's) fit with rubber/silickon washers either side, I used to use kettle elements no problem fitting them either. (I think the diameter of the boiler is 500mm) As regards the power I had problems using off a ring main, needed to come off 2...

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

No need for this. Where is the reality that taking a car rather than train and cycle is less damaging to the environment.

Not in my experience, get off previous stop and change or cycle

Well no point in posters quoting rail fares for stations within the congestion charge area?

    Plate chiller?

I think I agree there, commercial plate chiller can be taken apart. Always had a problem with mine, now use counterflow chiller, good buy. A thread on commercial and historical methods, and reasons for, that are used would be interesting .

£1.25 seems remarkably cheap looking at prices given online.

Why £20 ? You're going to cycle part of it, will be less. Current bike was £100, done 1000s of miles on it.

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

The congestion charge reduced traffic initially considerably, since then cars stayed reduced but light commercial (amazon& & etc?) increased to keep it at original levels. https://www.oecd.org/climate-action/ipac/practices/london-s-congestion-charge-and-its-low-emission-zones-c6cd48e9/ And if...

Ulez expanded to include whole of outer London

As has been discussed somethings have to be taken slowly, it is a drag about the ULEZ, but can you imagine the riots if all non compliant just banned?
