what nobody has mentioned, and David would have no idea about this, but not so long ago you couldn't play for Yorkshire unless you were born in the county. Of course Sir Geofrey didn't help matters, since hes a complete plank, but things moved on. Also Mr Monty has been giving his 3 penny worth...

    Brewery visits

...and some guy always mentions - "The Angels Share" - its what they dont tell you is more important, like the addition of colourants and filtering. Strangely this is never mentioned. A lot of the Whiskey industry is one big con - Dont get get me wrong, I do like a drop!

    Anyone watch this chap

Ive met him! I would say he is more centrist and a libertarian - but I do like his style most of the time. At least he seems honest with what he says/sees and reports on

Scrapping HS2 Leeds extension 'undermines' levelling up

Great post Mr 'Nanna - I think these issues are so complicated and deep that its almost impossible to discuss them in a a way that makes a convincing argument either way. You would really need to enrol "real experts" in their field and not just have bar room discussion, which is often...

I used to drive an electric milk float in the 80's - good fun, especially down hill with all those batteries on board

He is no different from the rest - they are all side hustlers - but to be fair it goes back hundreds of years where the Knights and land owners controlled the Serfs - I urge you to vote Reform

Ambulance service 'operating at its limits'

The NHS is knackered and Covid has shown its frailties. Ive had some recent great service from the NHS but when you break you leg in 2 places and they tell you to go back to work, you know something is wrong. A colleague of mine smashed his ankle and was miss treated - he now needs a joint...

Interesting ideas that will never happen. When you get to Scotland most of the track is single line with passing places. Double tracking is completely impractical. (financially) Anyway, where there are double tracks, this only allows trains of a certain length to pass. The Tesco train is a good...

Ive had a drink , which is not a good thing and swore never to get involved in DEBATE on a forum.... BUT History shows ( dont ask for figures please) but every party that gets elected, spend the whole time struggling to stay in power, whilst their popularity slowly slumps. You would think that...

I can fully understand why folk are not fans of HS2, but Im not going to get into some contenscious argument about it. But having spent a lot of time studying all the pro and cons Im still a fan. Over and out

Scrapping HS2 Leeds extension 'undermines' levelling up

To be fair, Im a big fan of HS2, (Im a rail nut), but this is becoming a Boris vanity project after his failures with garden bridges, Thames estuary airports and tunnels to Ireland, the man is a complete nut job. Another issue for me is when these projects are approved the costs seem to double...

That looks very good indeed. This is NOT a criticism, but I find that resting a bit of cheese on a bit of mushroom stops them going dry and chewy and with any pizza, less is more. Looks well tasty mate!
