    Help with under carbonated beer

The beer did carbonate after all. I believe the slow carbonation may have something to do with the gelatine clearing followed by 4-5 days in the fridge. It developed a bit of haze after carbonation but still one of my best beers so far.

Best Malt for Brewdog Punk IPA clone

Yes, I'm happy with the mix. I think it's one of the best beers I have made so far. Though, I'm certainly not an expert, it's only my 9-th AG brew.

Best Malt for Brewdog Punk IPA clone

I think, given the hoppiness of the Punk, the only noticeable difference will be in the colour. Mine came out more copper than gold in colour.

    new ispindel!

I've been looking at this gadget for a while. I generally like the idea but would prefer to keep my data local. So i'm interested to know if iSpindel can work without ubidots or another external service? In other words, can it be set to send the data via simple http request ?

    Recapping overcarbonated beers

I think, theoretically, the beer should not be cold when releasing the gas. The colder the liquid the more gas stays dissolved. I have done the gas release from over carbonated beer with no noticeable side effects, though the beer was gone about 3 weeks later, so I can't really say anything...

Best Malt for Brewdog Punk IPA clone

I used Brewtarget software to scale the recipe to 17 litres in order to match my stove top setup. While checking the recipe I found that I actually used 3kg Maris Otter and 1kg Extra Pale. I had previously forgotten about the Extra Pale. Below is the scaled recipe with some hop substitutions. I...

Best Malt for Brewdog Punk IPA clone

Yes, I did. I got a very good hoppy aroma coming out but as I mentioned just a notch lower than the original. I guess it's down to the process. I kept the temperature at 18C during dry hopping. Maybe at different temperature you can get different result.

Best Malt for Brewdog Punk IPA clone

I just got my Punk IPA clone carbonated and couldn't resist the temptation to compare with the original. I also used Maris Otter as a base malt, mainly because I had no pale malt at home. The recipe calls for Caramalt but I didn't have and used Light Crystal instead. I got slightly darker...

While I don't consider myself competition-level experienced, I'd still like to try and brew the recipe and see what come out... So, count me in.

    Help with under carbonated beer

I keep them at room temperature which in my case is around 20C. I'll give them another week. If the carbonation level feels the same will add a bit more sugar.

    Help with under carbonated beer

Hi All, I bottled my latest beer a week ago calculating the priming sugar with an online tool. Yesterday I decided that the time has come to have one and got very disappointed with the level of carbonation. Previously I have always used a teaspoon of dry table sugar per bottle and they usually...

I recently ran out of base malts, so count me in. However, due to limited storage space I can only take small amounts. I would like about 10 kg Lager malt, 10 to 15kg of Pale / MO and about 1 kg of Chocolate. Regarding the yeast maybe up to 30 grams. It's only about 30 min away from where I...

    Analogue thermometer calibration adjustment

I realise this is a bit off-topic but I couldn't stop myself... Yes, you can get superheated water. It happens if you heat up the water under high pressure (e.g. pressure cooker) and then depressurize it very quickly. At that point the water would have stored some extra heat. So it will continue...
