What are you drinking tonight 2024.

It's not great, my daughter used to work at a spoons, apparently the rule has always been no dogs but was a little bit manager's discretion a while back, her pub used to overlook it, then someone got bitten in one of the pubs somewhere, apparently not that bad but the "victim" kicked off, since...

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Had our 4th annual beerathon on Saturday, absolutely chucked it down until 7pm, glad we had the gazebo up, built a new cooler bar for it too, see pics. Was a, great day.

Citra and Mandarina Bavaria hops available

Hi All, As a bit of an experiment I decided to buy some hops in what I'll call bulk. So I bought 5kg of Citra and the same of Mandarina Bavaria, nice and fresh, 2023 stock, it's mostly been repacked and frozen, so if anyone is in the Blackpool area and needs some of those let me know, I'm happy...

    What did you brew today?

Currently brewing a low carb lager, I called it boring lager on my site, I'm not a lager fan, but a mate requested it as he doesn't drink anything but lager, don't get me wrong, lagers not bad, I'm just more into craft...... but i am looking forward to seeing if I can pull off this low carb...

    Flip Top Bottles

I've actually got a few flip top bottles from Brew2Bottle which I might consider selling, depending on location they need to go to, I have roughly 120 bottles, would need to count up, some are used but great condition, some haven't been opened, but I'm canning now so have no need for them, if...

    Darkfarm Brew Tank

So I've just bought the fully loaded version of the 60 litre Brew Tank and have to say I can't wait to get it, @Gareth Davies was very helpful over whatsapp to gen me up on everything so thanks for that Gareth. It's not delivered yet, a bit of a Christmas present to myself and have been...

How to post/courier 5litre kegs (full)

Was a, bit tricky to setup, but once done is a, great tool. Was canning a, neipa too, so bought the bottling wand that purges cans with co2, the beer hasn't been touched by oxygen since hitting the fermenter, so hoping for good results.

How to post/courier 5litre kegs (full)

Yeah I considered intravenous beer delivery, but my wife suggested I might have a drinking problem so I didn't bother 😂 ill stick to canning.

How to post/courier 5litre kegs (full)

So I bought a cannular canning machine last week after drinking several cans of 7%+ beer, reminder to self, never browse the Web when drunk and the credit card is in reaching distance. Look what happened, makes posting beer a bit easier. One step closer to commercial dream.

How to post/courier 5litre kegs (full)

Hi all, I've been researching this for a while now, I need to send my 5 litre kegs full of new recipe beer to my brew mates, but can't find a courier that will take more than 1 litre (royal mail) none are answering their phones and all listing liquids as restricted items. Anybody had any...

Anyone getting one last brew in before the end of the year?

Well I wanted to brew today but still waiting for my shiny new Fermzilla fermenter coming from Ireland (DPD tracking seems to be stuck so not sure if it's getting here on time, so much for next day delivery, on day 3 now), going to brew a NEIPA and want to use the new toy to keep oxygen...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

No not really, in fact I was expecting it to be a little fizzier, but its just about right for a stout, I'm no expert, but it tastes just like a draught stout should from a fizziness perspective. I was expecting this to be a little sweet, as I had got the yeast wrong and should have made a...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

https://streamable.com/3kt3k4 https://streamable.com/scfpvk Hopefully this works, the pint settling is a bit out of focus but you can get the gist of it.

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

Thanks for the comments, I've got to admit I'm very pleased. I only tried it with the nitro spout, but I will try it with the normal spout later and let you know if there's a difference. Good luck with the Guinness clone, it's a great brew to make, I love stouts. As to the gas, it was gassed...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

Okay so here it is, I'll try to post a video, it didn't cascade like mad but it did provide a loverly creamy head, tastes great, its a bit like roaster coaster but without the sweet taste, quite bitter from the coffee but not in a bad way, just got another 40 pints to sink and its done clapa...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

https://byo.com/article/nitrogen-draft-tap-projects/ Thats one of the articles I read that lead to my mini project. Thanks for all the help.

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

Cheers for that, making me feel a bit more confident. The "beer gas" as they call it was what I believed I needed after reading, but the gas dealer didn't mention anything else, he just called it beer gas, I could maybe ask for others as he can have it mixed to order I think, I'll see what this...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

I've been reading all sorts so might have mixed things up a bit, not really worried if it doesn't work, but I'm optimistic, the nitrogen will not dissolve into solution, it will just be suspended and released when poured producing smaller bubbles that Co2 which apparently is what creates the...

Using beer gas with a corny keg.

So my messing around with gases is mostly after doing my first stout, which I was very happy with from a flavour perspective, but after bottling, it didn't gas up that well, not that stout really needs much gas... anyway, I have been reading all sorts and that lead me to beer gas, so wanted to...
