    Priming syrup

I use around 75-100g per 20l kit. Just normal sugar. It takes a while to carbonate, but I prefer a less carbonated beer anyway. Also, less carbonation means its more similar to a real ale when you pour into a jug to remove the carbonation and becomes a little more creamy when poured into a glass.

    Clear plastic PET bottles

I only use PET bottles that I have saved from tonic water and cola. I agree carbonation can drop after 5 to 6 months, but rarely keep any that long. I brew what I am going to drink on a 3 month period. I also prefer less carbonated beer anyway, so I under prime as a rule. Tastes more hand pulled...

    Favourite Kit

Always find the Woodfordes kits very good. I did do a Simply stout kit but I tweaked it...a lot! Made it into a coffee stout. Very nice :)

    Wherry

I make it fro. The kits. Brewed a bit short and tastes close to the bottles, we did a blind tasting and out of the 4 of us ut was 2 each for the one we preferred. The whole family love it.

    So who's growing chillies 2022?

I killed my seedlings with lack of attention 😤😒 So I bought a plant that is in the poly tunnel flowering away. Basket of flames I think 🤔 .

    Bottle conditioning sediment

As for the sediment at the bottom of a bottle, my opinion is that it is part of the living thing that beer is. Carefully pour off to try not to disturb the sediment too much. Also, I drink from a leather tankard, so I cant see if its cloudy!!

    1st ever brew.

I had to bulk buy my kits at the end of last uear. My wife mad us make a new year's resolution. No alcohol or kits to be bought this year. I am now bribing my kids to buy me kits for birthdays, Easter, fathers day and even my wedding anniversary 😀😃

    Clear plastic PET bottles

Sufficiently carbonated is a personal thing. I prefer a flatter beer, as long as the bottle has pressured, not over hard, the oxygen is away from the beer. Of course I normally end up with the "over' pressurised bottle which means my beer is too frothy! Still good though. 😀 I also reuse cola...

Have a go at simple AG

Thanks for this. After only making kits this might just be my next project.

    Syphoning into bottels

I use a FV with a fitten tap. Saves time and effort, also I manage, with careful tilting, to leave practiccally nothing in the FV.
